Morris O'Kelly sums up what I think about Eve's and other celebrity sex tapes:

1. Why is it that sex tapes get leaked?

They don’t. They are always GIVEN out by the guy involved … period. We, errr THEY don’t destroy the master upon ending the relationship. The guys don’t keep ANY promises about not showing them to their friends … EVER. Have you ever noticed that the tape(s) ONLY shows the women in an unflattering and compromised position? Pamela Anderson, Paris Hilton, etc.

Coincidence? I think not.

I had an ex-girlfriend and for the sake of protecting the guilty and stupid we’ll just call her ‘Ynatha’ (not her real name … I think). Back when we dated she told me about how she ‘previously’ made a tape with ‘one’ of her exes … named ‘Kofi’ (not his real name … I think). I asked her if she ever worried about what happened to the ‘one’ tape? She said, “He promised me that he destroyed it.”

Whew … that’s a relief! If it’s good enough for her, it’s good enough for me!

Uh, If you knew ‘Ynatha,’ you’d already know that nobody would’ve ever mistaken ‘Ynatha’ for being, well … smart. But, this illustrates my point. There is ALWAYS a copy. If you put the man on the witness stand and he says there isn’t a copy … there’s STILL a copy. Those are just the rules. I don’t make the rules but I know what they are and I know that you’re supposed to follow them. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas and thou shalt always make a copy of the sex tape. We’ll address the reasons why, later in the list.

I've watched it on occassion. Eve's character is a fashion designer, and all of the clothes they have on the show that her character is supposed to have designed are ugly, yet they routinely do episodes where a rich person or some celebrity thinks it's a brilliant design, and it's really hard to get past that. I remember a few years ago, "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" did the same thing. They had some episode where the main characters did a fashion show and all the clothes were heinous, yet somehow everyone on the show thought the designs were brilliant. I guess that's one for the "Television Cliches" thread.

So will her show get the cut when WB and UPN merge? If her show stays on and "Girlfriends" gets cut, I'm going to be pissed.

Silly girl was arrested for drinking and driving. What's stranger, Sean Penn visited her in the pokey. Anyone want to explain that?

Eve (real name: Eve Jeffers) was driving in Hollywood around 2:45 AM Thursday when she hit the center divider, totaling the front of her car. TMZ was on the scene, and observed that after cops arrived, they placed her in handcuffs, and (according to our staffers) she was "visibly upset" as they led her into a squad car. We've learned that there were two people in the car with Eve at the time

They don't know that he was there because he was visiting her. They just saw him leaving the police station...and getting into a cab. Maybe he was in the car with her? But I'm not assuming anything crass. He might be her AA sponsor or something.
