I can't find much more info about it, but I saw this trailer on Youtube yesterday Twister 2. It’s not a real movie/trailer link to original youtube posting “ This is a video mashup, because it combines multiple pre-existing video sources with no discernible relation with each other into a unified video. To be clear this is 100% FAKE, FAN MADE, CONCEPT, “WHAT IF” DREAM TRAILER. ” Yeah, the lack of any info elsewhere seemed to point in that direction, but my work computer restricts so many sites and blocks all comments on YouTube so it’s hard to get the full story on anything, lol. It also seemed odd that in some shots, Helen hunt looked somewhat like her old self and then in others, her face has that strange mask like look. I can’t tell if she had bad work done or if that’s just how her face aged.

All the Jane Austen-related social media-ites that I follow are either up in arms or deeply intrigued by the upcoming Dakota Johnson version of Persuasion. Looks like fun, Bridgerton-level entertainment, but not particularly close to the novel. But I'll take it!

Thirteen Lives a Ron Howard movie on the 2018 Thai cave rescue of the young boy’s and their coach. Viggo Mortensen and Colin Farrell are in it. It looks really good there is involvement from the dive crew involved aswell. ( it feels like this happened further back than 2018 tho)

There is a great documentary on Disney+ about this rescue. This was a harrowing story and the people who came up with the rescue plan and executed it are some of the bravest people you will ever hear about.

While watching the trailers before Nope, I noticed Christopher Nolan has a movie next year on Robert Oppenheimer, which both excite my movie nerd AND history nerd interests. The DC Black Adam movie with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson looks underwhelming just from the trailer, so that's a hard pass.

I saw the trailer for Till before Nope. That's a movie I will not be seeing. What happened to Emmett is terrible and I can't imagine sitting through a movie about it.

What the divers did was amazing. But what the villagers did to keep those boys alive was inspiring. And I don't remember hearing any of that on the news and I followed the story pretty closely. I highly recommend the movie

I really really wish my dad were still alive so I could watch the Oppenheimer movie with him. He was at the Institute for Advanced Study for two separate academic years while Oppie was its director. It's not a big place and my dad was an astrophysicist, so their paths crossed quite a bit. My dad said Oppenheimer's house was the only place he'd ever been where, when you saw something that looked like a Renoir on the wall, it was an original Renoir, not a print. I have low patience for most of Nolan's movies. My dad would call them "gimmicky," and except for "Dunkirk," I think the gimmicks don't really serve the movies well. But I'm looking forward to seeing what he does with Oppenheimer's many-faceted life.

Not trailers so much as marketing in general for Barbie v Oppenheimer BarbieThe Barbie v Oppenheimer meme / twitter thing The excessive pink is bringing out the goth in me and the Irish connect with Cillian means while I’m likely not to watch either in the cinema, but will see them eventually , I’m seeming to be more Oppenheimer than Barbie Music rabbit hole Barbie vs Oppenheimer Honestly, if you see the Barbie movie, you'll notice some dark themes to it. It was AMAZING. I felt seen, both as a little girl, a teen and as a mom. I definitely teared up a couple of time. And it's FUNNY. One of the trailers before Barbie was for Dumb Money which was about the guy who basically screwed hedgefunds back in 2019 (i think) and took a stock that was TANKING and turned it into a giant money maker... the guy who did it is from MA, he grew up in Brockton, and then at the time this happened was living in my town. I'm so disappointed that they didn't shoot some of it here. I want to see my Market Basket, all 11 (yea, 11 in a town of 22k, and everyone has 1 or 2 they'll go to and then a violent reaction to the mere suggestion of going to one of the others) Dunkin Donuts on the big screen.
