After seeing the teaser for King Kong, I can't wait until December to see this movie!

Today, during The Skeleton Key, I saw a trailer for a movie called The Exorcism of Emily Rose, and it scared the crap out of me. I did that thing people do during scary parts in movies where I put my feet on the seat and scrunched up real tight just in case there was something evil lurking in the theater. That trailer really really really creeped me out.

The Holiday. I can pretty much tell that the entire time Cameron and Jude are onscreen, I'm just going to be waiting for the movie to get back to Jack and Kate.

Ahah! It lives! So, the trailer for Zodiac looks awesome. I'm a big fan of director David Fincher's; he produces films which seem on first viewing to be technically perfect yet somehow soulless. On second and third (and three hundredth) viewings, the characters seem to find their shine. This one is being sold as very character-dsriven and, hey, what an awesome cast: Jake, Ruffalo and Downey (Jr). Plus Chloe and others, too. I am so there. The trailer reveals some of the visual jazz that Fincher plays. Brash, showy and utterly original. Gorgeous, too. I'm already salivating for the DVD commentary; every one of his talk tracks are like a mini film school course.

It's about time, Mr. Fincher. It feels like it's been forever since Panic Room.

I *knew* there was an old thread! I totally had a freakout when the Zodiac trailer played in the theater. Chills. .
Moldy will be happy to know that EW named Little Children best trailer in this article. I know, I know. Soon. Promise. You know, if certain people whose coffee I used to bring to them (I'm talking to you, Sid Ganis ) would be nice enough to name me an Academy member, then I could go to free screenings and get screeners and see all these darn films. Dakota Fanning is a voting member! <GOB>Come on!</GOB>
I don't understand why 300 hasn't made a dialogue-free trailer. Because, man, the "THIS IS SPARTA!" line is cringe-city.
The trailer for Paris, Je T'aime makes me all angry that everywhere else got it first and the US has to wait until April. Boo!

Now me, I love the 300 trailer. It just looks so beautiful and unlike anything we've seen before that I can forgive just about any dialogue.
But I will never, ever watch Notes On a Scandal because there is absolutely no need to see it after you've seen the trailer. Why do they keep doing that?

Oh god, I was going to mention Notes On a Scandal! Seriously, I love all the actors, but shouldn't it build suspense rather than telling you almost everything that happens? 300 is beautiful and almost new-looking (well, besides Sky Captain, Sin City, Gladiator and Rome :weg:) ) and I'll definitely see it, it's just...really, did someone actually look at the footage of Gerard screaming "TONIGHT WE DINE IN HELL!" in the most over-the-top way imaginable and *not* think it would look cheesy out of context?

Wow! I hadn't seen the 300 trailer and, for some reason or another had avoided the "diary"-type clips on the QuickTime site, but... wow. Director Zack Snyder, who did such a terrific job with the Dawn of the Dead remake -- despite his way-overuse of the word "awesome" in the commentaries -- has immediately become a Director To Watch. Wow. Me so there.
