Hey, I'm looking for Indian horror film recommendations, particularly ones with musical numbers. I read an article about some really crazy ones about five years ago and can't remember any of the titles. Anyone got any suggestions? Preferrably ones I can find on Netflix.

Has anyone watched "Parineeta"? It is amazing. And Vidya Balan(the female lead) is so gorgeous. And it has gorgeous sets, portrays India in 60s beautifully. Parineeta

Saw Dhoom:2 today. Hrithik was amazing as always, and had great chemistry with Ash. Little B reprised his role, and Uday Chopra was much less annoying than in Dhoom---his schticks worked much better. I was thinking that Bipasha was quite wooden but she turned out to play a double role and that was an improvement. But the big enjoyment factor for me was the stunts: over the top and really exciting. Thumbs up. However, not a sari to be seen and I must admit that I miss the lack of strong Indian cultural values coming through some of the latest releases.

I've only seen Uday Chopra in Neal and Nikki, which wasn't entirely terrible, and actually rather amusing. I loved the "making fun of Bollywood--Desi style" scene with the cricket sweater, but his muscly-ness made him look like a pinhead. Is he poised to be an action hero or a romantic hero?
Did anyone see the new Umrao Jaan? I'm not impressed with Ash, but I have a ridiculous Abhishek crush, and since I loved the original...I hope it's good.

I can't help with horror film recommendations, since that's one genre I've avoided. And I haven't watched Parineeta, sadly - it does look beautiful.
I didn't expect to enjoy Dhoom 2 (in trailers it looked like it was trying too hard to be cool with those crazy stunts and slo-mo intros), but it ended up being fun! Mostly because of Hrithik and Aishwarya; their chemistry was another thing I didn't expect and now I definitely want to see them together again. I know they're filming Akbar-Jodha (and I usually love historical films) but D2 made me want to see them in a modern romance.
Uday Chopra could be a comedic hero, perhaps, but I didn't care for him at all in D2. More Hrithik! More Ash! Their songs were better than those in the Abhishek/Uday/Bipasha story, too.
Haven't seen the new Umrao Jaan yet, though the songs do look beautiful. I now have a chance to watch Rekha's version, which I've been wanting to do for a long time. I viewed a couple of scenes today and was impressed; I think that when I do sit down to watch the whole movie I won't be disappointed.

Rekha's Umrao Jaan was so sublimely awesome because all the songs were ghazals, which are my default favorite part of almost any classic, like "ehsaan tera hoga mujhe par" in Junglee. But definitely put aside a chunk of time to watch the whole deal.
As far as horror movies, the only one I've seen is Bhoot, but that's more psychological thriller, and not Bollywood-y at all. I think Something Awful has an archive somewhere...

Ugh, I just watched Jaani Dushman, which features a guy in a horrible, horrible, wolf man costume running around and killing new brides. Awful. Avoid at all costs.

Hey, just don't say I didn't warn you. It does feature some pretty sweet fighting sequences. But then the monster comes, and zzzz....

Anyone see Baabul yet? I love Amitabh, Hema and Rani Mukerji (or how she's spelling it post numerological advice) but I HATE Salman Khan. And I think John Abraham is totally fug. But I might go...depending... Anyone?
