I hope Arquette turned in a better performance in Boyhood than she did in her ludicrously, laughably awful CSI performance. Not sure I can even hate-watch that series.

Sunny- I can't comment on that because I haven't watched CSI since the original cast left... and I've never seen a spinoff.

I finally got to see Birdman. Keaton was fantastic and has a great shot at winning. I was super happy and surprised with Edward Norton. He was amazing! I just don't get the Emma Stone nod. She was good, and I am a fan of hers, but I just don't see this being anything close to an Oscar performance.

Oh, that's because of the disturbing lack of roles for women ,especially in the so-called "prestige" or "important" movies. Since there have to be 10 women nominated, it just usually goes yo whatever lady had the biggest role in the "real" movies. Of the 10 woman acting nominees this year, half are a love interest or mom, or child, of the main character.

I don't think anyone was expecting this. PGA Awards: Birdman takes home top prize.I thought Boyhood would win. I'm sort of sad because I do really like that movie too, but I hope this means Keaton is winning best actor.

I liked Birdman a lot more than Boyhood, so that makes me happy.

My bias may be showing, but I am really disappointed Agata Kulesza did not get the nod for Ida. She was freaking fantastic.

The PGAs and SAGs have really changed the game now that they have both picked Birdman. We finally have a true contest for Best Picture! Big boost to Eddie Redmayne too for winning the Best Actor SAG.

It's nice there are actually some categories where there is no clear winner!
Personally, I wouldn't be shocked if Michael Keaton still won for Best Actor. I know Eddie took home the SAG but it's not unheard of for one actor to win the SAG and another one wins the Oscar. Remember back in 2011 when everybody was convinced Viola Davis was going to win the Oscar for The Help because she won the SAG? Meryl Streep ended up winning the Oscar.
