Alec Baldwin? Really BAFTA? Now I like the guy and thought he was great in It's Complicated, but really.

I am thrilled to see several noms for Moon, but why no nomination for Sam Rockwell??? Is there no love for his fantastic performance in that movie out there?

and Sandra's missing from The Blind Side (although it might not have premiered in England yet). I think several movies haven't premiered there yet. For instance I don't think The Last Station with Helen Mirren and Christopher Plummer opened there yet, which would account for their absence. And that Coco Chanel movie with Audrey Tautou opened in the States without any kind of fanfare and just sort of vanished. It's interesting how a movie can make no impression in one place yet get attention somewhere else.

I'm surprised "The Young Victoria" didn't get more noms from the BAFTAs.

I hope that Adam Scott gets a nomination for The Vicious Kind.

and Sandra's missing from The Blind Side (although it might not have premiered in England yet). It's an American football movie which will be hard to market. I guess WB will market it as a Cinderella story instead of a sports movie.

I'm surprised "The Young Victoria" didn't get more noms from the BAFTAs. Maybe Sarah Ferguson's connection with the film has something to do with that. What's the general feeling toward her in the UK these days?
