My votes go to 21 grams (preachy, badly edited, and Sean Penn was phoning it in the whole time) and The Village (which I saw in the theater...at an evening showing...ugh.)
Your worst?

LiLo's "I Know Who Killed Me." Not even good-bad. Just gross and awful.

I would like to nominate two beautiful and deeply touching films:
1. Swept Away, a touching film about finding love through degradation and physical abuse. Madonna puts in a really great performance, as usual.
2. Wicker Man: The bees! The bees! Riveting!

Oh I don't know! The Next Best Thing the heartwarming story of Madonna having sex with her gay best friend (because you know alcohol will totally turn a gay man straight temporarily!) and thinks she's pregnant with his child but years later finds out it's not really his but keeps this to herself but later reveals the truth when she gets pissed that he's trying to ruin her happily ever after because he has the nerve to want to be in his kid's life really rivals Swept Away's cinematic genius! Seriously, Neil Patrick Harris I know film roles were hard to come by for you back then but WTF?! were you thinking?!
All those genre spoof films that came out this decade (i.e. Date Movie)! Seriously, these films gave me a brand new appreciation of Robin Hood: Men in Tights! RHMIT was not Mel Brooks's finest work but at least it had funny moments!
Couples Retreat. I was dragged to this movie kicking and screaming, "If Jon Favreau is in front of the camera it can't be any good!" I was right!

My personal low point of the decade was probably Valentine, the David Boreanaz-Denise Richards slasher. It was raining! We were bored!
But I prefer worst-ofs that have aims above their station. Valentine wasn't trying to be good. What's something that tried really hard to be huge, or deep, or funny, and failed miserably?

Even Paul Haggis' acrimonious split from Scientology could not diminish my incandescent rage whenever I even think of Crash.

The collected masterpieces of Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg: Date Movie, Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans and Disaster Movie. I don't think anyone would consider spoofs make great movies but the Scary Movie franchise was not entirely bad and I actually really liked Not Another Teen Movie. But Seltzer and Friedberg... well I think Josh Levin of Slate sums it up perfectly:
