Which movie moments do you find most disturbing? One of my choices is the kidnapping scene from Man on Fire. Gives me the creeps every time.
Post your favorite Disturbing Movie Moments here.

"Requiem For A Dream" is incredibly disturbing, especially the last 15 minutes or so and the shot of the needle going into the diseased arm. Also, the scene in "Titus" with the sticks and no hands and the stuff ( you know what I'm talking about) was ultra traumatizing.

The movie" Bastard out of Carolina", was so disturbing, when the Step father is beating the hell out of Jena Malone all through the movie dam near and the rape scene, you wanted to just pull him out of the TV screen by the collar and just beat the living shit/ daylights out of him and her stupid ass mother. The real disturbing part? There are people out there that exist just like that.

Another disturbing thing about Bartard Out of Carolina is the fact that Jena Malone's uncles are the ones who set their sister up w/ this jerk, and when they find out what he's doing to poor Bones, they DON'T kill him. I mean, really.

Oh, SO MUCH WORD to the disturbing nature of Bastard Out of Carolina. Have you read the book? That'll curl your hair, too. I would also like to submit the entirety of Copy Cat--a contender for the top spot on my Most Disturbing Movie Ever list. When I decide on number one, I'll let you know.

A Clockwork Orange, the assault scenes were sickening and kept me up all night. I couldn't sleep because they disturbed me so much.

What about Event Horizon? That was one of the most gratuitously violent movies ever! There's no one "disturbing moment" - the whole thing was disturbing! I have seriously heard of people who were traumatised for months after seeing that, and who have flashbacks whenever they hear Latin.

Re: Event Horizon...scared the holy hell outta me. The Latin part was really disturbing. And that horrific clip of the crew that plays on the screen...I don't even wanna think about it this late in the evening And word to Bastard out of Carolina. I couldn't even believe they shot a scene like that. I thought maybe they'd allude to it in the end, or cut away...but newww...

Natural Born Killers is basically one nasty, continuous disturbing movie moment for me, but there is one stand-out component that messed me up for life: that part, right near the end, when an obviously coked-out Robert Downey, Jr. is blathering into his cell phone to his ex-girlfriend...the thing about the cucumber...I could have lived without that image.

I love The Sweet Hereafter, but it's pretty much continuously traumatic and disturbing, especially when you realise that Sarah Polley's character and her father have been engaged in this weirdly romanticised incestuous relationship prior to the bus crash.
I was also deeply disturbed by Breaking the Waves. All of it. I keep considering watching Dogville or Dancer In the Dark, then I remember how disturbing Breaking the Waves was, and don't.
