Secondly, I realize that you may have gone a little nuts after the "color-blind" casting with The Last Airbender but Japan? Is not Europe. Also, "genius" is not the word I'm seeing applied to said white-washing from the reactions I've read written by Asians/Asian-Americans online.

Thirdly, a quick glance at Rotten Tomatoes shows resounding pans across the board by The Guardian, The Sun, The Daily Mail, Time Out London, The Mirror, etc. So much for your European sensibility.
