Ugh. The phone rang in the middle of my post so I forgot to add my $.02
The bitch can eat it hard, hot, and fast. As someone who was sexually harassed by a person in seniority when I was 18, I am horrified that she would even suggest something so appalling. At the time I was so shocked, I tried to spin it and make it seem like it could have been accidental, or that I was misinterpreting what happened. But then it happened again, and I quit. I never reported it, and never told my family or friends, which I regret.
With the staggering number of crimes against women and children that go unreported, for her to suggest to just "deal with it" is appalling. I hope she is fired over this.

WHAT?!?
I don't even know who Cindy Adams is, but now I want to administer a most righteous beatdown. I can't even articulate how furious I am.

Cindy Adams is old. Really old. Her attitude is not at all uncommon among members of her generation. It's not nice, that's for sure, but a lot (I'd say most) women her age were taught from the cradle to just "deal with it". It was part of life and there was no solution for it. I'd also suspect that she's jealous of younger women who have more opportunities and more legal recourse than she and other women her age did. To me, her nonsense isn't forgivable but it is understandable.

Cindy Adams can bite me. I, for one, am glad that there were women out there who didn't just "deal with it." Because those litiguous women forced men to keep their fucking hands to themselves as well as made them keep their more offensive remarks to themselves and now I am no longer forced to deal with men who think it's okay to pat my ass, "accidentally" touch my breasts or tell me about how they masturbated in the shower while imagining me naked like I did when I first started working in the corporate workforce in the late 70's. So those women are heroes to me.

I agree. A friend of mine sued, and won a huge sexual harassment settlement. Everyone in the office told her to drop it, the boss was "just like that". She said, not any more, he's not.
Cindy can say that she just dealt with it. But that doesn't mean that everyone else has to. She could have said that she's relieved that women don't have to just deal with it the way she used to in the olden days.

Cindy's a bitter, dried-up old hag. Has been for decades. Her type of "tough broad" has never been appealing to me--there's a deplorable lack of compassion for others there that is totally off-putting.

Is Cindy Adams the gossip columnist?
Edited to add:
Whoops. I just read it again. Yes, she is. I've seen her on Geraldo when he had that talk show where they'd have gossip Fridays. She's never seemed that bright. And she seemed kind of judgemental.

The only reason people still humour her and let her pretend to be a gossip columnist is because of the affection they had for her late husband Joey Adams.
She is a horrible shrew and sh*tty at her job. She needs to zip it.

Fabulous. Your friend is my hero, bailey. I wish I had done something about my boss when I had my first job, but I was (a) very young and (b) dumb enough to think that his Roman hands and Russian fingers were meant as a compliment.
