I'm disabled and have to have carers, a number of whom are really young. I'm talking 18-24.
One of them has just turned 19. She made a comment about having Botox regularly. I showed my surprise and she said, "Why do you think I've got no wrinkles?"
"Because you're 19!"
Most of them have long fake nails and huge fake eyelashes. One of them (a 22 y/o) has a trout pout. One of them is having fat dissolvers injected into her face. It's scary.

I think this thread has a new winner, courtesy of Nicki Minaj's Twitter account: "My cousin in Trinidad won’t get the vaccine cuz his friend got it & became impotent. His testicles became swollen. His friend was weeks away from getting married, now the girl called off the wedding. So just pray on it & make sure you’re comfortable with ur decision, not bullied."
Sorry to Nicki's cousin's friend who just had their STD announced to the world.
Sorrier to all of the people who will get sick and die because Nicki added to the misinfo pile.

That is so disappointing. I've always had a bit of a crush on Lindsey, even though I'm not a huge Fleetwood Mac fan. Marc Maron interviewed him a few months ago and I thought he came across as dickish in that interview, but not to this extent.
What's really gross is how he ignores the gender disparities over getting to decide when to start a family when he's criticizing Stevie for being alone. Lindsey's first child was born when he was 49 and his wife was 20 years younger than him. He could spend his "peak childbearing years" pursuing his musical career and then arrive at midlife crisis age and decide to settle down and start a family.
Plus, when I was verifying ages, I saw that Lindsey's wife recently filed for divorce. So isn't he alone, too?

I have questions. 1. Why does he presume that she is "lonely?" In most of her interviews she seems quite self aware and content. It is my experience that people like this are typically LESS lonely than others. 2. What is the relationship between him and the rest of the band? I know his relationship with Stevie is very fraught, but Mick Fleetwood and Christine seem so genial and friendly. 3. What is the difference between jumping that is "age inappropriate " jumping and jumping that is suitable for the over 40 crowd?

Wow. Who knew Lindsey Buckingham was such a douchebag? I feel like this has been known for a while. He's always been kind of a jerk and had a chip on his shoulder about Stevie. Plus, he lost out on a lot of money being fired from that band. The tour they did without him was their highest earning, which also is probably a hit to his ego.

Christine McVie's quote in that article made me laugh out loud.
Relatable, my goal in every workplace drama is to keep my head down and get paid.

Stevie sounds like she's happy the way things worked out. She has the life she wants, and while she may have the odd twinge, like most of us, she went for what was important to her and got it. She's still very close to her family and has girlfriends going back to her youth. She dumped Lindsay, not the other way around, and he's still pouting about it. And yes, his wife filed for divorce in June. He's a bitter man who refuses to grow up and move on.

I've read a number of interviews Stevie has given over the years and at one point she was sharing her home with her brother and his family. His wife Lori was one of her backup singers and a long time friend. Their daughter Jessica, Stevie's niece, was always around too and Stevie was quite happy being the fun aunt. They are still very close and on Jessica's Instagram she calls Stevie her second mom. I also think Stevie remained close to her friend Kim Anderson's son. She had been good friends with Kim's wife Robin, and then briefly married Kim after Robin died. So she never lacked for children in her life and sort of considers herself a surrogate mom figure to several up & coming artists as well. I think she has always had company and she long ago made peace with her decision to focus on her career.
And Lindsay has always been a bit of a dick. Led to them writing some great songs about eachother though. Sometimes genius breeds the biggest douchebags.
I saw the band in concert several years back and Stevie's voice isn't what it once was (she can't really hit the high notes anymore), but there's no doubt there's really no Fleetwood Mac without her. You can bring in a new guitarist, but you can't replicate Stevie's distinctive sound.

Stevie has godchildren as well, and I read she is close to Mick Fleetwood's children.
