Talking heads like Brit Hume are the reason why I avoided American Newsmedia on 7/7. That's why it hurts all the more to know that the one place where I got some respite on that day will be gone on 8/1.

My local FOX affiliate doesn't even air any news program. In more major markets, do the FOX affiliates have some sort of nightly news program that goes up against Tom Brokaw, Peter Jennings, and whoever replaced Dan Rather?

I think most Fox affiliates do a 10PM show. A few may have a 5-6:30. A few may do mornings.

Thank God mine doesn't. We get reruns of "Friends" instead at that time.
