I thought it achieved the feel of that place/state between realism and surrealism. Kind of like how in a dream, you're in a house that doesn't look like your house, but you know it's your house. It's hard to describe, but it really worked for me. Totally agree! I rarely have bizarro dreams where unicorns are tapdancing across the ceiling and everyone has 2 heads. But I have so many dreams that are a lot like real life, sometimes so realistic that the next day I get confused as to whether what I was remembering was real or fiction.

On the rare occasions when I can remember my dreams, that's what they're like. Just realistic enough to confuse the hell out of me when I wake up.

Yeah, I thought Nolan did a great job of having the dreams make perfect sense at the time, and it's only when the dreamer wakes up that he/she says "Wait a minute ... THAT part made no sense at all."

I loved this movie. I didn't know much about it going in and was completely blown away by the look, the acting, the suits, the concept, the story... everything. Leo is so on top of his game right now: whatever the movie he totally does it for me. However, I think this movie will be JGL's breakout performance for a mass-audience. He was fantastic. Hopefully this means he will be a new go-to guy for entertaining and intelligent action/drama movies. Marion Cotillard was also awesome and creepy as the exwife. I can see why people have problems with this movie. I didn't grasp everything in it right away and will want to watch it more. I'm not even sure all the techno stuff hangs together logically, but the movie worked so well emotionally, visually and when it came to the characters and performances that I totally didn't mind not understanding everything 100%. Nolan is brilliant. I say that as someone who actually did not like Dark Knight at all. But he's got enough good stuff on his resume now that I can forgive him that one. Will be seeing this again and will be getting the DVD.

Saw this on Friday. Liked it. Didn't love it, because, well, they lost me. I tried to follow it and I think I got most of it, but it just seemed too.......deep? Not sure if I'm explaining it correctly. I can believe it was extremely well done and I know this is on me, not the movie. I'm glad I saw it.
Also, was never before on the Leonardo Dicaprio train, but now? I just jumped on board. He is hawt. Really growing into his looks.

I loved the movie, and yes Leo was hot. So was Tom Hardy who I had to look up because I'd never seen him before. Glad to see that I don't have to be ashamed about still having a crush on Leo after Romeo and Juliet/Titanic era.
