Well that's...weird. I know there's hair dye and costuming and all that, but neither of them really seem to fit at all. Maybe they'll surprise us, but, from a visual standpoint, I'm gonna say thumbs down for now.

I could see Liam maybe, possibly, being Peeta. But Gale? Um, no. And that other kid is just fucking awful looking. Like... "How did he get into Hollywood?!" levels of unattractiveness.

Ever since someone else said that Josh Hutcherson looks like a young Nathan Lane that is all I see. This is really weird. Its like they went out of their way to cast the three leads as exactly opposite of how they are described in the books. I guess if they are good actors it won't matter so much. Josh Hutcherson was okay in The Kids Are Alright but he didn't really stand out for me. I haven't seen Liam Hemsworth in anything, all I know is he used to date Miley Cyrus. So far nothing I have heard about the movie adaptation makes it sound like it will be any good.

Woody Harrelson has apparently been cast as Haymitch. I think that's quite a good pick. I'm no Elizabeth banks fan but I can see her as Effie. I'm actually liking the casting for the adult roles a lot better than that for the kids.

I'm actually liking the casting for the adult roles a lot better than that for the kids. Me too. I love Elizabeth Banks for Effie - fantastic casting. I could totally see Harrelson as Haymitch, although he's not really what I had in mind. |

Woody will be awesome as Haymitch. If Randy Quaid hadn't gone completely nuts I think he would have done a good job with that role as well. |

I'm hearing that Lenny Kravitz has been cast as Cinna. If true I think it's very inspired casting. I think Lenny will totally Rick as an outrageous stylist type.

Ha, that is awesome! They can go cry in a corner with the anti-Idris Elba in Thor group. To be honest I never would have thought of Lenny Kravitz as Cinna but I thought he did a good job in Precious and I like that it is an unexpected choice. The only other prominent role left is President Snow. I haven't heard any speculation for that part yet.
