The New 52 has ticked me off. I'm a huge Superman fan and love Lois and Clark together as a married couple. New 52? Never together, working on different papers and she's got a new douchey boyfriend. Hate. They trashed the history of the Flash (I was getting back into DC and loved that cast until DC fucking ruined it). The new continuity is all murky and it's clear DC has no clue what they're doing. The redesigned costumes are fugly. The whole thing is totally unnecessary and looks like it was thrown together by aging fanboys who've been watching too many reruns of the Superfriends. Nothing but back issues and old trades now for me. Thanks, DC. |

I've not read a lot of Flash but I heard with the 52 that his brain is supposed to run faster? All I can imagine is that he'll eventually turn into a Hector Hammond-esque character with a massive head.
I enjoy reading alternate versions of superheroes, old Elseworlds etc. I'll stick with those, at least I go in expected the characters to act nothing like I expect them to.

I still read comics! But mostly Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Archie (and all the various spinoffs). I don't really enjoy the superhero comics that much.

Is anybody reading new 52 Birds of Prey? It's taken me a while, but I'm up to #6 and it's starting to grow on me. I don't like Starling, I thought she was getting too much focus in the book, and that Dinah wasn't getting enough, but this panel of Dinah and Tasu sparring and Tatsu's adorable giggle has got me warmed up to it. That sounds sexual. It's not. I'm just saying, I was cool on the book, now I'm warm. |

Not sure if I like being Frank Castle retconned as gay but I'm all for the diversity.
