The Ravine House featured in the movie Chloe is beautiful. And in the grand tradition of glass houses in movies its owners harbour deep, dark secrets. ( Well, not really, I guessed the plot twist early on and spent the rest of the time being fascinated by the house, Chloe's peacock coat and Julianna Moore's beauty.)

My favorite interior will always be from Auntie Mame. I loved what she did to her apartment on Beekman Place! (Specially when the Upson's swung by). Divine. Oh, gads, yes! I liked the 30s Chinese stuff the best, but the elevating couches for the Upson visit were pretty spectacular!

What, no love for Upson Downs?
Beekman Place! Always faithful! And, yes, the elevating couches designed by Yule Ulu!

I want Reese Witherspoon's apartment from "Just Like Heaven." It'd be nice to have a San Francisco crashpad.
I also had to rewatch parts of A Single Man! I got lost in every frame of that house. No pun intended.

IIRC Kiss the Girls also uses that trope too. I can kind of see how that developed. I do like some contemporary style homes but some of them do have a cold, uncomfortable look to them.

How could I have forgotten the awesomeness of the apartment in Panic Room, a DVD I bought exclusively for that reason? Such a nice mixture of the Victorian and the modern (my favorite design style.)

I was just thinking about Goonies the other day. All these years and I had no idea it was filmed in nearby Astoria.
I really feel for the homeowner; the kind of 'visitors' she described sound scary as hell.

It is with great shame that I admit to watching, repeatedly, "The Holiday" and "Meet Joe Black" for the house porn.
My other weakness is the British stately homes used all the time - Castle Howard (Brideshead Revisited), Chatsworth (everything), Wrotham Park (Gosford Park), Stokesay Court (Atonement), Highclere (Downtown Abbey). Drool-worthy, all.

I love, love, love the home where Susan Sarandon's character lived in Stepmom.
My second favorite is the home that was built for Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer in What Lies Beneath. I was heartbroken when I learned that it was built for the movie and then torn down.
