Just gave the John Malkovich/Julia Roberts movie, Mary Reilly, a rewatch. That beautiful old manor, entirely austere yet gorgeous as all hell, is great.
One other set I love that I forgot to mention is the superb house that Andy Garcia and Meg Ryan live in for When a Man Loves a Woman. I would live there in two seconds, even if it meant selling my immortal soul.

I would live there in two seconds, even if it meant selling my immortal soul. Love that movie and the house. I always assumed it was in San Francisco's Russian Hill or North Beach neighborhoods, but it's actually in the Buena Vista area. Still far too expensive for a school guidance counselor and an airline pilot.

Dangerous Liaisons. My god, all those beautiful French chateaux with exquisitely-dressed nobles swanning around.

I thought it was impossible, but I think it might have been even more stunning. I have! It's a beautiful movie too. I read an essay comparing the two movies once. It noted the DL is set almost entirely indoors (which is true) while Valmont has numerous outdoor scenes, so its cinematography would by default look more beautiful while DL would have the advantage in set design.

Donna and Kelly's beach house, how could I forget that one, every girl's dream in the 90s was to own that place. I have always had a soft spot for Carrie's apartment, it was just missing a washer and dryer. Liked Miranda's as well(washer and dryer included) it was simple yet practical, just like the owner.

Given my location status, how could I forget Anna Madrigal's apartment in Tales of the City?! The window treatments alone were pretty awesome. Mary Ann Singleton's apartment was pretty cool too. I liked the archway between the living room and kitchen.
I echo the sentiments re Kelly and Donna's beach apartment! It's still my dream apartment.

Set design from Nancy Meyer's upcoming film The Intern. Not a big fan of warehouse style offices but I would kill for the bedroom and dining room.

That house looks a lot like the house in Moonstruck, which is a favorite. I also like the apartment in The Breakup.

The Breakup had an awesome set. I couldn't help but notice that it looks a lot like the apartment Jen Aniston herself bought in NYC a few years ago.
