The Breakup had an awesome set. I couldn't help but notice that it looks a lot like the apartment Jen Aniston herself bought in NYC a few years ago.

Nancy Meyer does know how to set a movie. Wow, love the pendant lights in the kitchen and the hit of color with the chair in the bedroom.

I know these aren't exactly movie-related, but I've been rewatching Mad Men this week, and I'd forgotten how much I love, love, love Don and Betty Draper/Francis' house. That is so my dream house. Except for the kitchen, which, hate. But otherwise, so painfully stately/dreamy.
Another t.v. favorite was always Mary Shannon's house from In Plain Sight. Post season two explosion, anyway. Mary had the perfect mix of midcentury moody, with modern flare and quirky personality.

I loved Bridget Jones' apartment. I don't know how she was able to afford such a big place in London though ;-)

Ooooh, I like the bedroom in The Intern article. My husband and I have been talking about repainting our bedroom and I like the dark gray and white, with light curtains. However it'll make our north-facing room darker and I'm not sure that's a good thing, especially in the wintertime.

Ryan Reynold's parents' house in The Proposal. I was more impressed with the incredible scenery/yard, but the house was great too! Here's the house they used in the movie. I drive to Manchester-by-the-Sea sometimes because it's so pretty and I've always wanted to find the house that was used. |
