This is what happened in our house too. I liked Tenet, but timey-wimey is my jam.

I watched Fever Pitch last night, that was a really enjoyable, lightweight movie.
In the first few minutes, it seemed like Jimmy Fallon was going to be awkward as hell and that carefully messy hairdo was hard to look at, but he ended up being really charming and it was a sweet little movie. Not too overdone on the obstacles and conflicts and just a fun thing to watch.
Plus, the background of knowing the Red Sox actually broke the curse during filming was a fun thing to anticipate.

TTMR and I watched “Inside,” Bo Burnham’s special on Netflix. He filmed it all within one room during the pandemic. It’s … something else! We both really liked it. The first part is kind of light and funny. The song “White Woman’s Instagram” had me in stitches. The second part is much more serious because it deals with his mental health struggles. I’ll be very surprised if it doesn’t win awards.

We had a yen for The Great Race, 1965, set in the 1880s, Natalie Wood, Jack Lemmon (as the bad guy!), Tony Curtis. None of us remembered it very well, in fact, my mom, my brother and I are all wondering if we were actually remembering a different movie. It wasn't really bad, but it was weird and disjointed. There is a huge food fight, and other Blake Edwards touches, he directed it. The best moment is when Jack Lemmon has jailed his competition, including Tony Curtis. Tony Curtis escaped, along with Peter Falk, who is disguised as a monk.
Guard: "He escaped, with a small friar." Jack Lemmon as bad guy, eyebrows raised: "He escaped with a chicken?" (fryer)
This is the best moment in the movie.

Yes, mrspickles, same movie. Jack Lemmon has a second role as a look alike heir to a European throne, he's always slightly drunk and very happy.

The song "He shouldn'tna oughta swung on me" is in the movie too, and goes with a huge bar fight scene. I remembered this. If you do re-watch, let me know what you thought of it!

I wanted something light to doze off to last night and downloaded Oceans 12 from Netflix. GAH. I'd forgotten how obnoxious they all were.
70% of the movie is George and Brad smirking at each other, with haha aren't we cute in-jokes that fly past the viewer's head if subtitles are off. 10% is Julia Roberts smugging it up. 10% is Vincent Cassell being fine and suave (the saving grace). 10% was Catherine Zeta Jones wearing amazing outfits.
Awful.

Awful. Vincent Cassell is the ONLY reason I rewatch that movie.
