Vanishing on 7th Street.[/color][/b] What if everyone in the world vanished without a trace in an unexplained phenomenon? What if you could also make that boring and pointless? Bravo, you have this movie. At least I laughed during The Happening. This didn't even have unintentional comedy.

I watched The Grifters last night. It was good, definitely not what I was expecting. I haven't read the book but now I want to. I really liked the score and I thought Huston and Bening were terrific in it. I was surprised that Bening was able to pull off the sex kitten role so well.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Trilogy: Noomi Rapace was amazing. The 1st one was definitely the best. The 2nd one suffered because it was basically a 2 parter. The 3rd one was really gripping, but still not as good as the 1st.
I can't imagine what the Hollywood version is going to be like, but I'll give it a chance.

I am sitting here watching Knight and Day and this is TERRIBLE. They made an entire movie just for Tom Cruise to show off. Cameron Diaz is ridiculous, the plot is non-existent, and I am just feeling sorry for Tom because you can see the desperation. I have yet to see one believable moment in this movie.

I just finished Murphy's Romance and totally loved it. I'm very surprised by this. For years I assumed it a cheesy romantic comedy. Yes, it is a bit dated (the Carole King/David Sanborn music is wretched) but it turned out to be a sweet old-fashioned romance. I was a bit misty-eyed at the end.

The Town. Despite being a well-made film, this just didn't grab me. Ben Affleck and Rebecca Hall had no chemistry. Affleck's character was too boring to care about. It felt like the characters were just not fleshed out enough. Not surprised that Jeremy Renner has gotten nominated for this, because he was the best actor of the bunch. Jon Hamm was good too. I can think of a dozen actresses who could've done really well with Blake Lively's role. I did like the chase scene in the narrow streets of Boston, and I thought the gentrification angle was interesting.

KickAss...I like it, but it doesn't get good until a 1/4 of the way through. The early stuff was kinda FF material.

I think Affleck did a great job with Gone, Baby Gone but this was rather dull.

The A-Team came up in my Netflix queue and I guess the word is "forgettable." Especially since a few hours after I watched I thought "I should watch The A-Team so I can return it next week. Oh, wait..."
