I don't think Andrew can afford Fergie anymore.

Philip loathes Fergie, but the Queen seems to like her. I think remarriage is highly probable after Philip passes. Is she attending Harry's wedding? She was there and looked good. The coverage I watched it looked like she did that long walk to the church by herself. Her daughters sat with Andrew. I had no idea until today that they still lived together.

I had no idea until today that they still lived together. She got a huge hug from Eugenie's fiance. I like to think he was whispering to her, "Don't worry, I'll distract the guards. You sneak in the back way." (I know she was actually invited.)

I didn’t even recognize Andrew when he was walking in with his daughters or when he was seated next to Kate. I even wondered to myself why he wasn’t there! It wasn’t until I made a deliberate effort to spot him that I did!

As Prince Andrew has no sons, does his title go to Prince Harry since he is the second son? If Andrew passed away before the Queen, would Harry have to wait until Charles was King? And if Prince Andrew did have a son, would the title go to him or does it revert back to the Crown? It’s been a while since a Duke of York had a son.

I think I'm not sure but it goes back to reigning monarch assuming Andrew outlive Charles and Will is King I think Little newcomer Louis is entitled to the Duke of York title ..no idea what happens if Andy goes while Chuck is in charge ..Harry?? Dunno..

Hey, since primogeniture ended, couldn't Charlotte become Duchess of York in her own right and little Louie become Prince Royal???
I think my feminism ma still be a little over stimulated from yesterday . . .

I thought Harry would get it first.
Found this tidbit at Wiki: “The title was created for the eighth time for Prince Andrew, second son of Queen Elizabeth II. At present (2018), he only has two daughters. Thus, if he has no future (legitimate) sons, the title will again become extinct at his death.
Aside from the first creation, every time the Dukedom of York has been created it has had only one occupant, that person either inheriting the throne or dying without male heirs.”
It seems it wouldn’t automatically go to Harry, someone would have to give it to him.

Then the next candidate would be little Prince Louie. If she's still here, Fergie would become the Dowager Duchess of York. The girls would still be Princesses of York. Harry's still a Royal Duke, so he doesn't need another dukedom.
I gotta watch Downton again--brush up on this stuff.

I can't remember any time when a Duke of one dukedom, then switched to another dukedom. I think Harry will be the Duke of Sussex until he dies. If I understand dukedoms correctly, the Duke of York isn't above the Duke of Sussex.
Edward, I've heard, will be upgraded from Earl of Wessex to Duke of Edinburgh upon his father's death.
