Apparently, a few days before the queen passed away, Charles and Andrew had a meeting in which Andrew was told there was absolutely no way for him to ever come back as a working royal. He allegedly left the meeting in tears. He'd been working on his mom, trying to get her to approve, and she kept changing the subject. Charles laid down the law.
There's no way VG can backtrack on her allegations against Andrew, especially since she got a settlement. Just hypothetically, if she did suddenly say "Oh, I was mistaken about Andrew too" would it change anyone's opinion of him? He handled the allegations so badly, chiefly giving that terrible interview to the BBC, that that tarnished his rep just as much as the allegations did. He never once expressed any sympathy for her, just himself! And he did continue his friendship with Epstein long after he should've cut off contact. It is interesting though, and I wonder if it will budge anyone's rock-solid opinions of him, even just a centimeter.

Dershowitz exonerated himself the way people are supposed to. He didn't use his bodyguards to try to dodge process servers, so he's already ahead of Andrew there. And his statement was appropriate:
Giuffre was not utilized as a witness in the prosecution of Ghislaine Maxwell, and this incident is probably a hint why.

That's a good statement from Dershowitz. Classy.

Andrew has been formally bounced from Buckingham Palace. He can no longer use it as his address on correspondence and the three staff members the Queen let him keep after he was forced to step down from being a working royal are going to be laid off.

Merry Christmas, Andrew! I wonder if that's why he was looking sulky and pissed off leaving church today. ETA: Aaand with that I'm a Sloane Ranger!

Remember that proposed movie about Prince Andrew's disastrous "I don't sweat" interview? Forget that, 'cause now there's a musical about him. "Prince Andrew: The Musical" aired on TV in the UK 1-2 days ago. It was meant to be satirical and covers his whole life, including the Epstein scandal. A number of publications stated it wasn't appropriate to make a production about the disgraced royal in the first place, including The Guardian and The Independent, with the latter adding that the piece was probably more appropriate for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival rather than for TV.

It's times like these that I'm happy I don't live in Great Britain and need to avoid really crappy royal parody shows on TV.

There have been reports in the press about Andrew suing to overturn his settlement with Virginia G. He was apparently telling associates he has proof or new evidence that would help him. Today The Telegraph ran a picture provided by associates of Ghislane Maxwell featuring 2 people sat in a bath in her London home (wearing photos of VG & Prince Andrew) over their faces in a ludicrous effort to debunk VG’s claim that she had sex with Andrew in the bath.
Andrew seems to forget that, settlement aside, he was good friends with 2 individuals involved in the sexual abuse & trafficking of minors. He continued to associate with Epstein after he was convicted of sexual offences. Plus he gave that awful tv interview where he showed zero compassion for their victims.
The fact that Andrew thinks there is any appetite for him to return as a working Royal is laughable and just shows how out of touch he is.

Even if he did manage to overturn the settlement, he's not going to wipe away the stain of being pals with Epstein and Maxwell for so long. What a twit.
