But Death on the Nile is such an ensemble piece and DOtOE was a big hit. Surely one bland white guy can't sink it? (Surely...)
I'm guessing the big reveal is footage of him killing and eating an animal heart or something. He can't have really murdered someone, right?

I wonder if his family will disown him? His paternal aunt just wrote a book about how twisted the Hammer family is. Her father (Armie's grandfather) and brother (Armie's father) both sexually abused her. Her father was a meth addict and gun nut who used to have her stand with a phone book on her head for target practice. Armie is perhaps a product of his family's multi-generational traditions. |

I cannot believe that I literally just found out that Armie Hammer is the same dude who not too long ago got in trouble for sharing a video of his toddler son sucking on his toe. I remember that scandal, but I absolutely did not remember that it was Hammer. For some reason, I had a vague memory of that toe-sucking being done to some other bland white male celeb (I even could've sworn it was some football player). Anyway, the video footage also says that "[t]his happened for a solid 7 minutes" and has a #footFetishOnFleek hashtag. First of all, even if, let's say that you are laying in bed and your toddler catches you off guard and starts sucking on your toe...why in the hell would anyone let it happen for 7 minutes? It is just too cringey, weird, and creepy. If I had been his wife I would have been appalled and I would have had so many questions...uncomfortable questions. This whole thing with the cannibalism fantasies combined with the old toe-sucking video just gives me too many reasons to believe that Hammer is just a creep of the highest (lowest) order. Ugh. And yes, I would question his sanity and I would possibly be a tad scared for my safety and my babies' safety.
ETA: As a Gal Gadot superfan, I am selfishly pissed about how this thing will possibly ensure that the new Death on the Nile (which co-stars Gadot and Hammer) never gets released.

Woah. Okay, all bets are off. Yikes. It was written awhile ago but it came to light recently because someone on TikTok recounted and summarized the book. Supposedly a major news publication is dropping an exposé today or tomorrow, maybe about him or someone else heinous. |

I was annoyed at his casting in Death in the Nile to begin with....., curious what the studio will do given they are obviously trying to turn it into a franchise and churn out a few poirot movies. It’s a stacked cast so it would be a shame if it got tanked because of Armie.

Given that Armie's character in Death on the Nile turns out to be a villain and murderer who marries a woman and kills her for her fortune , maybe his casting is fitting after all. |
