Yeah, at this point I'm hanging on to find out who the killer is. This was a strong episode and it started out strong (and thank god we don't have to go through the "Will she go to Sonoma?" thing every week anymore), but it feels like they don't have enough to fill an entire season. If they get a second season, they need to tighten things up. I agree. This episode was better than last week, mostly for the interrogation scene but in general the show has gone downhill after a strong start. Its disappointing because it had a lot of potential. My main problems with the show are there are way too many coincidences rather than actual investigative work. First the two shirts the missing girls both owned. Then this week they get handed another clue with the name Adela. Which they somehow manage to figure out there are 40 Adelas in the phonebook because apparently you can search by first name in the Seattle phonebook? Yet they don't think to say google Adela and Seattle. But no matter! Linden just happens to go by the ferries on her running path. Which takes her to the casino which she didn't recognize until now despite staring at that keychain for like 10 minutes. And then there are the suspects. I agree it is probably one of the rich guys which I assume will tie into her father's gambling and the campaign. On one hand if the political stuff doesn't tie into the murder I will be annoyed as the campaign stuff has seemed pointless until now. On the other hand if Rosie was killed by some rich guy because she knew something she wasn't supposed to, I don't think that is that interesting. I think the best murder mysteries are the ones where the motive is personal and the victim and the murderer have some sort of deep connection. I am holding out hope that the killer might still be Aunt Terri. She seems kind of crazy and I bet she either had an affair with the dad or was in love with him. To me the biggest problem though is Rosie. Again I think the best mysteries are the ones where you really know who the victim was. Like Twin Peaks or Veronica Mars season one. We don't know anything more about Rosie than we did in the first episode other than she likes butterflies. I like both the leads so I hope that if it does come back for season 2 they really work on the writing. Oh and if they don't reveal who the killer is until next season I will be pissed.

I was annoyed by that, too since it showed once again how useless it is whatever Linden/Holder are doing. I'm not sure if that's what the writers/producers were going for when they said they want to be different from other crime shows. Then again, I'm kinda glad that the keychain/casino thing popped up like that because they're running out of time and they wouldn't have ever figured this out by, you know, asking/googling/using their brains .

There was the scene after the funeral where she was acting strange during a phone call. What was that all about? There seem to be so many dangling clues that don't go anywhere. With all the characters and their interesting histories I think this story would made a better book than TV series.

One thing that really bugs me is how much they've got Seattle just POURING rain and then it'll just randomly stop later on, only to be followed by more pouring rain. At the very most, you'll get that nasty drizzle that Seattle is more famous for.

Did we really just spend an entire episode just driving around Seattle to find Jack? With just 3 episodes (INCLUDING THIS ONE) LEFT?
Character development is good, except when we're 3 episodes left from finding out whodunit, which includes THIS ONE!
I am annoyed. The Sister in law is my guess (based on totally nothing)

Seriously, at this point in the series we get a complete filler episode?? Wow. I'm not sure I would have gotten through this episode if Linden didn't have Holder as a partner (or replacement or whatever). He was all kinds of great again. Well, except for his complete surprise at seeing Rosie in those camera pics. That was no surprise at all, was it? Linden knew she was there, they just needed proof, that's why she wanted those videos. Huh.
I wouldn't have minded an episode like this at all if it had aired at an earlier point. Right now, it's just annoying. I was sure they'd end this season with Rosie's killer revealed. Now I'm not so sure anymore.

I enjoyed the episode and getting to know Linden and Holder better, but it does feel like this episode should have happened earlier in the season or the development drawn out over a few episodes.

The Sister in law is my guess (based on totally nothing) Sometimes I really wish this show was just Holder. I would love to watch that hangdog recovering junkie solve a case on his own. I don't think it's the sister. Here's what I think happened. I think it's the Senator ("State senator" -Oscar from the Office). He met Rosie at Bennett's basketball afterschool program and they started having an affair. Her dad was in financial straits so she started blackmailing him to get money for her family. He kills her in a fit of rage and disposes the body in the car.
I got a bad feeling about him when he bumped into Rosie's mother at the grocery store. Something about his "concern" made me believe that he knew her and little clues have been trickling out since then. Plus, since the show has made the mayoral campaign such a prominent part of the plot, it has to fit into the murder somehow.

I liked last night's episode. Holder has really grown on me. I also like the actress who plays Linden but not the character of Linden. I think they just made her a little too troubled. I agree though this episode should have been much earlier this season.
It was strange seeing Rosie on the monitor, they haven't shown a real clear picture of her in such a long time I didn't recognize her at first. I wonder where she got her big wads of cash. Maybe she was working as an escort. Or a brothel like One Eyed Jacks.
It is ridiculous that there are only two episodes left and there are still no suspects for her murder based on actual clues in the show , just speculation. I hope her killer is at least someone who is a somewhat regular character. If it turns out to be Jasper's dad or the video director we saw for two seconds that will be annoying. And if they don't reveal who the killer is by the end of the season or the final shot is the reveal of the killer I may throw something at the TV.

I still think that there must be some link to the campaign or all that time spent on Richmond and his drama would have been wasted. Except for the Ahmed thing and Richmond and Rosie in the same video there has been nothing that linked the two storylines (well, apart from the campaign car of course). So my guess is that Richmond will suddenly become useful in the final two episodes and will somehow help Linden and Holder to find Rosie's killer.
The show and Mireille Enos have been nominated for the 1st Annual Critics' Choice TV Awards. I'm a bit disappointed that Joel Kinnaman got overlooked especially since so many reviews in recent weeks have singled him out as the best thing about the show (which I totally agree with, he's quite a magnetic actor).
