Beth Littleford's interview with Boy George is one of the funniest things TDS ever aired. Fabio was great too.
Back then there was also the female executive producer, the one Craig Kilborn said in an interview "would blow me if I asked her." I think it was Liz Winstead. She left shortly afterwards. I'm not sure what the gender ratio among the producers is now.

Against all reason, she has been cast in Sorkin's Olbermann-esque pilot for HBO.

Bringing this link over from the Celebrity Schadenfreude thread because of some of Brett Ratner's comments trashing Olivia Munn: This guy seems like a douchebag, but his comments about Olivia (formerly "Lisa") not being "Asian back then" are extremely obnoxious, the epitome of douchebaggery, etc. (Has Olivia been trying to play up the Asian part of her heritage recently?)

Have been watching her in The Newsroom, and I'm really enjoying her as the overly attractive economist. They've been using the fact that she's fluent in Japanese to great effect in this last episode. I didn't think that she was very good on The Daily Show, but this show seems to be working out for her.
Also, Brett Ratner is a colossal douchebag and hack.

I've never seen Munn in anything before but a quick cameo in Chuck, but have followed the conversations about her here and other places online. I was really surprised to realise the same actress who plays Sloan Sabbith is the same one there has been so many complaints and hate directed towards - I find her very likeable and totally gorgeous to boot.

Olivia has January Jones syndrome, though it's not as severe. I just adore her as Sloan on 'The Newsroom', but have absolutely hated her in every sitcom guest spot, late night talkshow appearance, and especially her short-lived 'Daily Show' gig. I'm not even sure I like Olivia Munn the person all that much.

She (...was going to say "very nearly", but no....) ruined the Daily Show for me during her tenure, she was that bad. It was such an example of pretty lady, no talent. And all the really talented female correspondents disappeared of the show for...that. There have always been new faces showing up on TDS, some are better than others and those that don't have the stuff quietly disappear, but I can not describe the visceral badness of Olivia Munn on the show. She was Kryptonite unfunny, and sucked all the funny out of the room. When this happens on your favorite show...no words.

Yes, she was god-awful on the Daily Show, and she kinda ruined things for me because hiring her made me totally side-eye the show. At the time they were under pressure for not having a lot of ladies on the show, and then they went and hired Munn, who was painfully unfunny and clearly hired for her looks rather than her talent. At least they had the good sense to get rid of her relatively quickly (or she had the good sense to leave a situation that clearly wasn't working). I agree with the "January Jones Syndrome" diagnosis. They are both good in the current roles, but step outside of that box and they suck, and neither seems to have much natural charm/charisma that would make people like them outside of their little box and both probably got to where they are almost entirely due to their looks.

Except January Jones sucks on "Mad Men," too!
I like Olivia on "Newsroom." I have never seen her in anything else, and will confess to confusing her with Allison Munn, the friend on "What I Like About You", whenever I have seen her name in print.
