I love that story so much. Such a normal thing to happen, and the formal picture with the little girl clutching her Granny's hand and her hot-pink fuzzy worm is delightful.

Harry seems to be really good with kids. Everyone was probably so consumed with all the other hoopla of the wedding day, but he's thinking, "I'd better get something to entertain the kids."

I think Harry was originally planning to slip it down the back of Wills' collar but the little girl needed it more.
Aw!

Washington Post columnist says Kate's gown is almost identical to her own 1991 wedding gown.

Washington Post columnist says Kate's gown is almost identical to her own 1991 wedding gown. Almost identical? The neckline is similar, and they are both dresses...but that is about it. But, hey! She got a column out of it!

And didn't the press go on about Kate's dress being inspired by Princess Grace of Monaco's wedding dress? Grace's dress predates the author's, so that means the author's designer was also copying Grace's.
Now, if the author wanted to discuss why the elements of this dress were popular for three generations, how fashion is cyclical, etc., THAT would have made for a good Sunday fashion article. As it stands, this "OMG!!1!! Kate is wearing my dress!!!11!!" is little more than blog post. It's not fitting for a major national newspaper.

Exact replica is stretching a bit, but good god, she acts like this particular design is rare and has never been used before.

Yeah, I was comparing the back of my gown and my veil and there are several similarities too, including the foofy butt kerdinkydink and the embroidery. Where is my column?!

During the wedding, I said to AM that William's uniform looked like that of a Disney prince. The comparison to Fergie's daughters is awesome.
And the columnist's 1991 dress? Similar sleeves and neckline, but she also had a dropped waist which makes if a different shape than Kate's, but whatever. It seems pretty clear it was inspired by Princess Grace's dress.
