So much this! Normally I love me some Rachel McAdams flicks, but The Vow was big fail for me.

Dr: You were in a bad car accident, you had a falling out with your parents and you are married to Magic Mike who is waiting to take you home.

Well. That was probably the best separation statement I have ever read but it is still sad. It's kinda bullshit though, no? Really? If nothing's changed about your love for each other, wouldn't you still be together and married? It's not just these two. Hollywood separation/divorce statements always have flowery language about how they're still best friends and love each other blah blah blah. Cut to a few months later and they're banging their new "best friend". |

Really? If nothing's changed about your love for each other, wouldn't you still be together and married? It's not just these two. Hollywood separation/divorce statements always have flowery language about how they're still best friends and love each other blah blah blah. Cut to a few months later and they're banging their new "best friend". And the treasured friendship they promised to maintain with their former "best friend" is always ancient history within months. Unless you are Gwyneth Paltrow and remind everyone every few months that your ex is now a brother to you - i.e., you are no longer attracted to him in any way, shape or form and never will be ever again. |

If it makes you feel any better, the rumor is that she was too Hollywood for him and he wanted to keep things real.
The upside, of course, is that because he's friends with Adam Driver (Lucky Logan), this will gently walk him through a divorce up close and that's when I swoop in.
