She's cried wolf too many times to tell if it's real or for people to care. It's formulaic: She goes on the I was dumped seven years ago tour with tv and rag interviews, followed by half-naked photos, followed by a half-ass movie, followed by a short-term alleged relationship with a co-star or douchebag du jour, followed by their break up then lather, rinse repeat. Every guy she dates will always be a poor man's Brad because directly or indirectly she never shuts up about him. What semi-sane A/B list celeb in her age bracket would want the kind of publicity aside from JLo? Those two would make the ultimate fame whorey couple. It is very telling that the only way she can get attention is to whine to the nearest reporter about her ex who has clearly moved on. The best advice no one has given Jen |

Yeah. I have no idea if this is real or not. If it is, hallelujah! Finally! Praise Baby Jesus! But...we've been down this road too many times before, so I have to take it with a grain of salt. They still have their movie coming out. She could be getting her rocks off in the meantime and they'll split after the movie bombs.
Speaking of this movie, is this the one where she gets stranded with her estranged husband at a nudist camp? And there is some girl-on-girl action or some such nonsense?

I looked up their movie together - Wanderlust - and the plot was something along the lines of her husband (Paul Rudd) loosing his job, they decamp to Georgia and get stranded at a hippie commune. I can't say that description is pulling me in. I thunk this movie sounds like it will go the way of Love Happens & Management which died a quick death at the box office.
Their movie is slated to come out in October. If they are still together by New Year's Eve I may buy it's a genuine relationship.

I think the more pertinent question is how does she tell anymore? When she was with Tate Donovan and in the beginning with Pitt she took things slow, she kept it private, and generally seemed to carry on her relationships in a normal and prudent way. Now she's such a crazy mess it's almost like she's a completely different person.

Rachel and Phoebe's husband go to a hippie commune. Great. Yeah, as everyone says - she has a predictable formula. When she's not promoting a movie she's on the beach on Mexico with girlfriends (now down to Chelsea). Suddenly it's movie time, and here comes a boyfriend, who she always pretends to not really want to talk about. Yet her people plant stuff in tabloids constantly. I wish, I PRAY, that they just become a steady boring couple. I actually liked her with John Mayer because that's the only relationship that felt real. Well, on her side. She seemed to really be in love with the d-bag, and he was doing everything in his power to f it up. |

Didn't Jen take John back even after he held a press conference on a sidewalk to make it clear that he had dumped her? I think there was a famewhoring element in their relationship but real feelings were involved as well.

She and John Mayer felt the most fake to me. Those pool pictures that were so obviously staged, the Oscar date where they both left town the next morning and then we got word they "broke up" like a week later?

Yeah, but if it was fake, why would she allow such a miserable, humiliating break up? His NYC filmed street vomit about her being old because she didn't do twitter, and making sure everyone he knew that he dumped HER was embarrassing. She ended up looking sad for having been with him at all. Maybe he just went off script, or maybe she thought another dumping would help her "poor Jen" image? That's why I thought it was real (for her, he probably just enjoyed the attention and the sex), because she surely didn't approve of that sort of ending, and THEN, taking him back again? Who knows. She operates in bizarre ways.

I think the first dumping was real and Aniston thought getting back together somehow made her look better. Like it showed he was admitting he was wrong for dumping her and that he couldn't live without her or something. Also, Brad and Angie were going to be at the Oscars and she didn't want to show up pathetic and dateless. I think that's the biggest reason.
