Yeah, I kept waiting for that storyline to turn incestuous, because there was crazy chemistry between Victoria and Patrick.

The DH Lawrence vibe was there between Victoria and Daniel when the show first started, too. Madeleine Stowe said in an interview at the time (it was Hulu but I'm not sure if it's still there) that there was indeed an overly-intertwined dynamic between the two and added semi-humorously that because the show was on a network, it couldn't be explored further. So clearly Stowe and Josh Bowman (Daniel) were written and directed to play that up and it's not a stretch that Stowe and the actor playing Patrick were told to do the same.

Well, I'll be darned. Emily actually made progress with her original plan on one of her original targets.
In other news, I'm finding it more and more difficult to understand what the characters are saying because they all recite their lines in hoarse, intense whispers.

I'm shocked Conrad is in jail. Didn't think that would happen until the end. And Victoria knows the truth. Color me intrigued. Wonder what she's going to do with that knowledge.

I would have liked it if the ep had ended with Emily putting a big red Sharpie X over Conrad's face in that group photo. Come on, show.

Victoria was always the intended final target, but man did Conrad go down in a blaze of glory. The way he turned on Charlotte was a thing of beauty (girlfriend better thank her lucky stars no helicopter blades were conveniently located nearby). Poor Margaux. No papa, no Jack, and burdened with Daniel's salvation. Speaking of which, the show has finally made him interesting now that he is fully committed to being diabolical. Btw, did Victoria harm Carl for his DNA? That's massively fucked-up, but then again she had a little girl (that she didn't like for no discernable reason) institutionalized so she's definitely done worse. Also, Barry Sloane is really starting to do it for me.

Did Victoria hurt the baby? I thought she just took the opportunity to get a blood sample after he fell and hurt himself.
I hope that Victoria does get destroyed so we can watch her claw her way back to the top.

I thought Victoria just happened to swoop in when Carl hurt himself, too.

Yeah, the Victoria/Carl bit was weird. She just happened to be at a park he was playing at just when he fell and conveniently scraped his hand? A bit of a stretch, even for this show.

No sympathy for Margaux. If she can't tell she's being played by Daniel, then she deserves what she's going to get. I think when she realizes Daniel set Pascal up, set out to ruin things with Jack, she's going to be ruthless in her revenge. Wouldn't surprise me if Daniel's sins come to roost in Margaux and she kills him.
