The school shooting scene, Violet cutting her throat in the mirror, Pig Man behind the shower curtain...this single episode had me recoiling in horror more than I have the entire season.
I was hoping they'd keep Eric Stonestreet around for at least another episode. For what purpose I don't know, but he really rocked his scenes.
So the worst therapist who ever therapped (heh!) has another dead patient under his belt? This doesn't bode well for his career.

If I am in need of a therapist in the future, I'm definitely asking how many people have died while in her/his care. And no way I'd be going to someone's house for sessions without having Googled the address first to make sure it's not a stop on a murder house bus tour.

I'm going to employ Occam's Razor, Shanmac, and conclude that the apparent continuity error between the shooting massacre last week and this week was not intentional but, for a show in which there appear to be no rules, no attempt at rational behaviour and a kitchen sink approach to storytelling, it was a fuckup which they brushed aside like they have all other expectations from supernatural stories.

The murder scene had me glued to the screen. From the time they realized there was another unlocked door, to the cheerleader peeing herself--totally traumatized.
Wait, wasn't this same ep where Viv was eating brains with passionate abandon? I had to look away a few times.

I read that Connie Britton just adopted a baby boy from Ethiopia.

That scene was traumatic. When the cheerleader wet her pants ... ugh, just too awful to think about how terrified she was. I think that might have been the hardest 5 minutes of television I've ever watched. Aw, good for Connie Britton. Love her and her pretty, pretty hair.

Was I the only one who thought the brains & stuff might not be from an animal? Like, maybe Constance was feeding her Addie's remains? They wouldn't actually go there, would they?

I didn't think of Addie (OMG!) but I did wonder if they were feeding her human organs.

Constance and Moira convincing Vivien to eat the organs was so Rosemary's Baby. I loved it! Coincidentally, I just saw Dylan McDermott on Ellen, and he said that AHS is filmed on the same stage where RB was shot. Creepy. Anyway, I was actually laughing at Viv scarfing down the brain. That was great.
Someone on ONTD posted an article that suggested the show had gone too far with the school shooting scene. I don't know... it was horrible to watch (and actually, I was surprised that I didn't feel more uncomfortable watching it), but I didn't think it was tasteless or anything. Unfortunately incidents like that are a fact of life, and something I think is very much an AMERICAN horror/fear, so the show is living up to its name. I especially like that we were introduced to Tate well before that scene and even allowed to like him. It made the whole thing even more chilling. So did the murdered kids coming back to taunt Tate. I love how the show has gone from a drugged-up doctor botching abortions and doing Frankenstein experiments in the 20's, to Manson-esque murders in the 60's, to a high school massacre in the 90's. I can't wait to see what happens tonight!
