I'm thinking that the premise is the couple dealing with parenthood and the wife going back to work. The birth episode is probably funnier if you already know the characters, and are familiar with their personalities and quirks.

I adore this show. The leads have awesome chemistry and the assistant is an added bonus of awesomeness. Plus the baby is so damn adorable! She's a great acting baby, always smiling.

This is definitely my favorite new show so far. Maya Rudolph cracks me up as Ava, and the birth episode last night was hilarious.

I'm loving this show! I have a 10-month-old so I can relate big time; I feel if I didn't have my son I wouldn't quite get the humor as much. My DH and I cracked up in the first episode where they're arguing about who was up at what hours with the baby and Chris goes "So you wanna do it really quick?" That has definitely my husband.

I really like this show. The leads have terrific chemistry, and I'm just happy to have Will Arnett on my screen again.

I still like this show, but I'm finding myself really loving Ava/Maya Rudolph. Christina Applegate and Will Arnett are fine, but Maya brings the funny and makes Ava so much more than a self-involved Oprah parody. She's so great.

Bumping up for this news: The show is getting a live studio audience. So it's going to look less like 30 Rock and more like Big Bang Theory. They need to stop messing with this show. I liked the Ava show, Chris as a stay-at-home dad, and the whole format of season 1. |
