Is it wrong the whole time I was watching that clip all I could think is, "Lenny Kravitz even makes gold eyeliner sexy!"? Seriously, he's probably the one man on this planet that can wear gold eyeliner and not look ridiculous! It is weird, when Lenny was at his peak as a rock star I always thought he looked gross and sleazy. But in this and Precious he just looks smoking hot. |

From what I've read the movie is tracking huge, bigger than Twilight huge. So it looks like we won't have to worry about whether they'll green light the two other books. I am ridiculously excited for this movie. Somehow I doubt it'll be anywhere near as cringe inducing as the Twilight movies.

I am ridiculously excited for this movie. Somehow I doubt it'll be anywhere near as cringe inducing as the Twilight movies. Can anything be as cringe inducing as Twilight? I've never seen such earnest bullshit in all my life.  It's a little over two weeks until the premiere, shouldn't there be reviews coming out soon? It's tracking to have a huge opening regardless, but I'd like to see some critical response from people who aren't familiar with the books. My ass is going to be in seat March 23 even if it gets panned. I just want to see what in my head played out on the big screen. |

This premieres today so I'm hoping we get some reviews soon. It looks good to me so far, by the clips. That one of Peeta and Caesar is a good one, practically verbatim from the book. I like Stanley Tucci as Caesar, he's just right.

Katniss is supposed to be short, slim, emaciated maybe. Some tributes (from 1 or 2) are supposed to be tall and robust. Jennifer Lawrence is like a head taller than the guy who plays Peeta. How is the romance angle going to work.

Same way it always has in Hollywood, camera angles and trickery. Jennifer Lawrence is thin enough to play Katniss. She wasn't starving when she volunteered.

How is the romance angle going to work. She was wearing heels at the premiere last night, normally she's only about an inch or two taller than Josh (Peeta). Liam is just a freaking giant though. I don't have a problem with JLaw's weight for the role, but she has fat cheeks which scream robust and healthy, and thst was majorly distracting at first.  |
