Queen Latifah and Dolly in the same movie and singing? I do not care how corny this looks, I am so seeing it. It looks like it could be the fun musical that Burlesque should have been.

It looks sooo corny, but I also love Latifa and (especially) Dolly, so I'll see it at some point. I'll probably wait for the DVD. From the ads, I have very low expectations (which might be a good thing).

It's utterly and totally corny and predictable but if you Love Dolly and Queen and just want to see something fun, this film is kinda good.
My only nitpick is that Dolly has had so much work done on her face, especially around her lips, it was distracting. Her character can justify the plastic surgery (and it becomes fodder for jokes in the film) but it was still a distraction.

I know it is her life and she can do as she pleases, but what she did to her face is a crime, and she should have been charged for what she has done. Can you imagine if she left her current husband and married Kenny Rogers?

Maybe they could get two for one surgeries.
Is this at least good enough to see at a matinee? heh.

Eh, it's somewhere between matinee at a cheap theatre and On Demand.
