Anyone have suggestions for razors for the bikini/pubic area? Anytime I shave to clean up the area I keep glorious red bumps. I’ve tried electric razors and they seem to die after a few uses. I don’t mind having hair downstairs but yeh gods I want keep things managed if you know what I mean.

Using a fresh razor definitely helps but other than that I don’t think type of razor makes too much of a difference. What I would do instead is incorporate a body scrub into the routine—use it on your crotch right before shaving (rinse before shaving and do NOT use right after) and then re use it daily until it’s the next shave day. The scrub prevents ingrowns which is likely what the bumps are. You want a scrub that feels rough to the touch, otherwise it’s not doing anything. I like the Dove one that comes in a tub.

In other words, use a scrub that would make Dr. Dray cringe if I used it in my face! That sounds simple enough. Probably will just buy a pack of disposable razors if I should only use it once or twice (correct me if I’m misinterpreting). Thank you!

I know this isn't what you asked but, I've been waxing down there for years and I will for the rest of my life -- yes, I'll get Brazilians when I'm 80. Your first will hurt like hell but it's pretty fast, and if you're consistent about it hair follicles will start to die and your hair will get a lot thinner. I've been doing it for years and my waxes barely hurt at all anymore. And it completely eliminates razor burn; you might get the odd ingrown hair here and there but even those will get rarer and rarer with consistent waxing.
Removing all your hair is definitely a personal choice and I know some people don't like it, but if you choose to do it, the $40 or so once a month for a wax is 110% worth it.

I highly recommend laser hair removal for the bikini area. I have no regrets. It greatly reduced the hair growth, and regrowth of any hair was much slower, and the hair was much thinner. Shaving rare stragglers is a breeze: no bumps or redness.

There's a product called Bump Stopper which is great for ingrown hair and skin irritation. I use it each time I shave there. There's also a "Lady Bump Stopper" but it's more expensive and the men's version works just fine.

I started electrolysis for this reason. I've hit pause while the separation sorts itself out but I'm definitely hoping that it fits in my post divorce budget.

Bat mom keep doing it out of the joint funds! Why the hell not? I bet he’s spending on some crap that isn’t necessary.
