I love lots of her early stuff! She was the bomb in the aughts! Everyone wanted her hair colour, including me. I have irrational love for Play — I still love the video and her moves in it. Makes me wanna go clubbing and dance my heart out. Yes! Love her or hate her (especially as a "singer"), but nobody can deny that in 1999 she was just an up-n-coming actress whose pop culture presence truly coalesced/exploded when she started dominating the music charts. True, she never could sing, but it was her pop music stardom what put her on the map and made Hollywood take notice of her. Anyway, as mean-girlish as she's always been, I still think that the hate that she gets online seems performative and forced. I'm sure that a lot of people have valid reasons to despise her, but like we all know, the internet is also full of grifters who will jump on any trend for clicks and monetization (which is ironic since Jlo herself is like that LOL). Right now, it's once again trendy to "hate on" Jlo. And I bet she is fine with that, since it still keeps her name in people's minds/mouths/keyboards. I think she's a little eye-rolly, but she definitely doesn't rise to the level of hating her. I reserve that for people like Sean Combs or Danny Masterson.

I think knowing that she's not really singing in most (if not all) of her songs and it's just overlapped vocals from Ashanti, Meghan Trainor, and others is a real turn off when it comes to her concerts. I just cannot understand why she has concerts at all, but of course it's more for entertainment of her dancing and all that. Yet, I wouldn't really spend good money to see her playing someone else's vocals.
She was fun to watch in the beginning and I don't hate her, but she's becoming insufferable.

To me, there are tiers to my celebrity hate. Sure, Jenny From the Block hasn't done any that could be considered deeply repugnant, but she's easy to dislike. Her overinflated sense of importance (DON'T spit on her craft!) just reminds me of the OK dancer from In Living Color. She's a Level 1 out of Level 5 (Sean "Puffy" Combs).

So according to the Daily Mail (take with a grain of salt), the final straw in the Bennifer marriage was Jennifer selling Delola. As a recovering alcoholic, Ben thought this was insensitive and dangerous. Things started to go south after she started selling the vodka and tequila spritzers last year. He didn't understand why she'd sell alcohol, especially since she's already loaded. This was all about money and that insulted him. Also in the Fail, I definitely believe their approaches to publicity and public exposure contributed to the breakdown. If you are the spouse/partner of someone in recovery, do you have a responsibility to not drink or engage in anything that could tempt them? Should Ben's alcoholism affect Jennifer's business projects to the extent that she would pass up an opportunity? I don't know. But the writing is on the wall that this is over, and Jennifer's world tour of sadness lends credence to the allegation that Ben is the one who pulled the plug. And I guess the fact that he didn't fall off the wagon and hang out in strip clubs this time means he's experienced some actual growth! Also according to the DM, the legal process has already started and they will announce after the papers are signed and the deal is done. Can't wait to see who they date next because neither of them can stand to be single for five minutes. I'm surprised they haven't already debuted new partners.

Ha... haha...hahaha. Love that Ben (I mean "sources"/a "friend" wink wink) is trying to act like he is such a valiant partner. This indicates to me that Ben has absolutely not changed at all.
I know- JLo is annoying and self centered and absorbed by fame. In other breaking news water is wet. I don't personally love those traits in a person, but she is who she is. No one- no one with eyes and more than 2 brain cells sees her and thinks she is anything but a fame seeking person. Jennifer "had him believing she was the same person" as when they 1st met... yeah- she WAS! That was why they didn't work the 1st time. Ben married her- he KNEW- he just grew tired of it- because he makes impulsive life choices and then regrets them later. That is who he is. But please Ben, stop blaming your partners for your flaws.
Do I think JLo selling alcohol is disrespectful- honestly not really. Celebs put their name on products all the time. When they do they often have virtually nothing to do with the product itself. I mean, I didn't even know JLo was a spokesperson for these spritzers. Is Ben on a crusade to promote abstinence from alcohol for the masses? Was JLo peppering their home with vodka parties? Keeping bottles around the house and stuff?? Doubtful. Methinks Mr Affleck is looking for excuses to bow out. I will say (as a no alcohol person myself)- it would have been nice if JLo had come out with some mocktails. She has been pretty vocal about how she doesn't drink- this would have been a much better move- for her... but maybe it's less $$?

Maybe it was always a PR move. J. Lo needed to complete something she wasn't able to complete many years ago. The circle is complete. Cycle done. Got press out of that. The projects she created to celebrate their mythical love didn't pan out quite so well either. Usefulness of this pairing thus nil. They're both a little too old to have kids together so they didn't even have that to artificially lengthen this charade. I'm sure they did care about each other at some point but there's only so long that you can be married/live with a person who cares more about their career and image and outside attention than anything else.

Agreed, Jennifer is exactly who she was back then, someone who craves and enjoys fame. Ben wasn't lied to, he knew who he was marrying. Maybe he lied to himself, but that's on him. And yeah, I can't see Jennifer hauling bottles of booze home with her. Apparently, she does have the occasional cocktail when she's out, though. link

I am so disappointed in all of you! How on earth has Ben's new 'midlife crisis' haircut been overlooked in these parts? I mean what in the Travis Buckle hell is wrong here?
I still haven't mastered that whole linky thing but he's out there taxi-ing all over the interwebz in his ’bout-2-be-back-on-the-open-market feather-preening glory'. That back tattoo has been waiting for this🤣

Yikes, Ben looks like he's cosplaying for a Taxi Driver convention! The Red Hot Chili Peppers T-shirt is also giving me "It's NOT a phase, MOM!" energy.
