I hadn't paid attention til now, but—yeah—he's supposed to be a high school senior. The actor is 27. It worked on the original 90210! ( Ahn-drea anyone?) Incidentally, on the 90210 reboot, one of the actors was even older... He started playing a HS-aged character when in RL the actor was 30/31! ![(rofl)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/rofl.png)

LOL, yes. That guy's character was gay, and in interviews the actor would joke that he thought it was great that a 30-year-old high school student was able to come out to his friends.
The thing is, if they cast someone who actually looks like a teenager in projects like this, it would be super unwatchable.

I'm glad it's doing well. I always liked J.Lo. From the reviews I've read, this movie seems totally batshit and hilarious. Might have to make it a double-feature with 50 Shades of Grey.

I almost posted that 20 Things article on NPR, then I realized I was introduced to that hilarious article in this thread, LOL.
But yeah, I like to imagine that a lot of people were drunk watching this ironically this weekend. It looks like a Lifetime movie from the '90s.

Which one of Ben Affleck's exes did better this weekend? J. Lo!
I wonder if she's just given up on getting good roles and will just settle for starring in popcorn trash movies, releasing a single every now and then, and milking American Idol for all its worth to stay in the public eye.

All I can think is, "How bad must Mortdecai be?" But J-Lo does seem to do well with this genre.

Some hardcore film/freelance reviewer dude I know said Mortdecai would have been considered awesome if it had come out in the '60s, but it was way too dated and earnest in its dated approach to pass as a modern movie with a retro flavor.
I also think JLo gave up awhile ago. She edging into parody territory and has no problem with it. Which means she might be one of those high maintenance stars who gets to be more divatastic fun with age. It's cool. She's not going to try clutch at youth like Madonna. She's going to show up in a pound of glitter and 12-inch heels. Timeless.

That sounds like pretty good career actually. It can help prop up her fashion/perfume/etc. ventures assuming that they are still making money. It keeps her in the public eye and making bank. Pretty good for an industry where women over 35 are discarded with ease. I also think JLo gave up awhile ago. She edging into parody territory and has no problem with it. I was shocked to discover she was worth upwards of $300M, so she's doing something right. Ben constantly blaming her for his problems back in the day has slowly changed my opinion of her. She doesn't irritate me nearly as much as she used to.
