Let's face it gang. There are just way too many plot holes in this show.

In the flashbacks to Fitz's campaign, wasn't Cyrus still not openly gay? I think I remember a scene where everyone around him knew, but he was still maintaining the pretense that he wasn't. Or maybe I just imagined that. But given his political leanings and age, Cyrus marrying a woman first doesn't seem wildly out of character. Mostly, though, I do agree Shonda is throwing everything to the wall and seeing what sticks with nary a nod to continuity.

Well, all that happened.
Fitz & Olivia are soooooo old. I can't stand Fitz's behavior in what appears to be a form of Bipolar depression or the like. He has these extreme highs and realizations that he needs to be a husband to Mellie and then these great lows where he thinks he's still with Olivia and tortures her emotions.
STOP THE INSANITY! /susanpowtervoice
And I knew it was only a matter of time until it was Huck that figured out Quinn was the guard's killer. What gave it away? He started to be nice to her again and acknowledging that she did a good job around the office.
Would have been nice if you said that awhile ago, Huck. But really? The power tools? I don't think it's necessary. This girl is *thisclose* to giving it all away and I'm sure she's wanting to tell you regardless. Plus, with Olivia's mom escaping, Fitz wanting to kill or expose Eli Pope and Huck and gang, excuse me...Popeheads hot on the trail, it's only a matter of time before the cat will be out of the bag and Eli won't have anything to save him.
So does this all mean that Congressman Phoebe is done with her story arc? Well that was lame.

This show is dumb & I officially hate it.
I want Mellie, Jake, and James to each get "happily ever after" ending while the rest of them die slowly and painfully alone.

I'm sorry, I could not keep up. Did Cyrus purposely set up his hubby to be hit on by the VP's husband? To what end? The last few eps have been confusing and the camera clicks are a PITA.

I think Cyrus was hoping that the VP's hubby would hit on James and throw James for a loop and he'd high-tail it out of there and expose him for being secretly gay.
Too bad that Cyrus and Mellie were laying it on so thick to get them together to have the secret out, they made it too obvious once everything came to light. But did we need the flashbacks for James? REALLY?
I think that James was so pissed and tired of being mistreated by Cyrus, that he either A) had sex with the other guy or B) found out about Linus taking the secret photos and turned the tables on the sting. Regardless, the whole thing was totally stupid and pointless.
Olivia's mom eating through her wrists was disgusting and unnecessary. I had to FF through that scene.

I started watching this show a couple of months ago and have finally caught up. Yeah, it's trashy and soapy but I enjoy it for what it is. There are some things that bug about it, but just like with a soap, I'll complain about it and keep watching anyway. So...things that bug --
Kerry Washington's "I have diarrhea and need to get to a toilet NOW!" facial expressions are just. too. much. That's acting??
Guillermo Diaz constantly catching his breath mid sentence to express intense emotion. Again I ask, that's acting??
The constant speechifying. Cyrus does this the most, but occasionally the other characters are required to do this as well. If someone were making a speech AT me right in my face, no matter how much I liked them or agreed with what they were saying, I'd want to slap them, or at the very least, tell them to STFU already. The speechy dialogue with its rambling and reiterating smacks of a show trying too hard to be taken seriously for its "intelligent" writing.
Other than that, it's a fun show. I think it would be a lot more fun if they got back to the first season 'case of the week' routine, though. This overdone "love story" between Olivia and Fitz is becoming tiresome.

This. All of this. The things that bug you, probably bug the reasonable viewer of this show. Guillermo Diaz belongs on an early 90's nighttime soap, his acting sucks so bad. Kerry Washington's facial expressions are fucking terrible. She contorts her beautiful face and mouth in nightmarish ways. I don't mind the speechifying from Cyrus because the actor sells the speeches well. I do mind it from Papa Pope, though Joe Morton is a fine actor, the character is wearing very, very, thin. Also Olitz is so toxic the EPA should slap hazard stickers across their foreheads whenever they are in close proximity to one another. They make me nauseous. Fitz may not have wanted to shoot down that plane, but he did. Then he ran for public office on a war hero platform just to show his daddy that he's a BIG BOY who can succeed. Then he throws his "flaws and all" honesty about himself in Olivia's guarded face. It's easy to be unguarded when the world is breaking it's back to groom and anoint you it's next king. And also, buying a house you have no intention of living in doesn't erase the fact that you are a married public figure. Who killed Liv's mom for all she knew before she slept with him.

I'm not an apologist, but I noticed that when I binge-watch, a character's flaws become even more annoying that much faster. I watched Season 1 and those camera clicks... I keep harping on them because they. drive. me. nuts. Whose idea was that so I can go after them crazy-celeb-twitter style!?

Oh god those camera click sound effects! I swear one day they're going to push me over the edge and I'll hurl something at my TV.
