I spotted Costa Ronin, who played Oleg in The Americans, on the red carpet too and was baffled. He was in the movie as Wojciech Frykowski, but I think he had maybe one line. (Yes, I had to look up the name, lol, he was one of the Manson victims) I bought tickets to see the movie next week and now I am about ten times more excited to see it than before! I don't care if he's only in it for a second and a half, I love me some Oleg! Thanks for the headds up, ladybug. I think you are going to love this movie. It is the best movie I have seen in years. It was almost three hours long and I barely noticed because it was so entertaining.

Jesus. She's just so...ugh. Even when she isn't doing anything, she irks me. I don't know if she's dressed like that for Halloween or attention. And she adds another ailment to her long list of debilitations.

And she adds another ailment to her long list of debilitations. I believe she’s actually sick and I have sympathy for her, but yes it does sometimes feel like she’s suffering from every illness and injustice under the sun. I know her more for her attention grabbing and controversies than any work she’s actually done.

I think you can both be an attention seeker and have serious medical issues. I'm not a particular fan of Lena, but women who suffer from chronic illnesses, famous or otherwise, largely just drop out of societal view, and Lena earns some begrudging admiration from me for refusing to do that.

I know I should feel sympathy for her, but this sentence is so un-self-aware. She's made her entire career out of 'making things weird.' I feel bad that she's dealing with chronic illness, but, Christ, she grates on my nerves.

I feel bad that she's dealing with chronic illness, but, Christ, she grates on my nerves. Not only that but she is one who regularly and aggressively dresses to provoke. The cane would most likely not have made her wardrobe and more weird. This new sentence suggests to me that her previous 'girl power/body positive/antislutshaming' message was not as authentic as she has tried to claim. There is nothing wrong with supporting any of those things, but sometimes I get a 'doth protest too much' vibe that suggests the behavior is a reaction to unaddressed trauma and not true empowerment. I hope that acknowledging the (apparently) true source of her anger helps her. #notashrinkbutiusedtowatchfrasier

I'll say it - I don't think she has this new illness. I think she read that Sia has it and ran to her doctor to complain of the life-long pain in her connective tissues that she just realized she has.
If she says she has Munchausen Syndrome, I will believe that.

I think she read that Sia has it and ran to her doctor to complain of the life-long pain in her connective tissues that she just realized she has. If she says she has Munchausen Syndrome, I will believe that. You could be describing my ex- mother in law and my ex husband. If I walked in and coughed, he would immediately want to know what my symptoms were, then he would say he had them, only worse. I really wanted to give him a list of symptoms some time, then when he said he had that too, point out that it was PMS and he very likely didn't have that. My ex MIL has gone from depression to restless leg syndrome to fibromyalgia to back problems to 'breast cancer'. Now she has dementia (Lewy Body type) and I can't help but wonder if it is somehow connected to the 20 years of heavy medication she's taken. At one time she kept it all in a backpack so she could take it with her when she went somewhere. I don't know that any of those diagnosis were not legitimate, but I've watched her run from 'answer' to 'answer' for as long as I've known her and strongly suspect that the real root of her unhappiness/pain/restlessness was some kind of unaddressed trauma. She has frantically moved from thing to thing, career to career, and each new thing is presented as the thing that is going to really fix her. Right or wrong I see that in some celebrities.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that she’s really piled on all these medical ailments as her career has taken a nosedive and she’s getting less attention. And she 100% tipped off the paps to photograph her walking with a cane.
