I hate to lose anything with a feminist viewpoint (although I don't think Jezebel really did have one), but Jezebel can go away now. Going to The Hairpin. Off-topic, but as long as we're looking for alternative places to spend our time, give The Toast a try. I think it originated from The Hairpin. But yes, Jezebel has really stepped in it this time. Click-bait over quality. They've made their priorities crystal clear. And that $10,000 couldn't have been used towards a better end?

That Vogue interview really helped me differentiate between Lena and the characters she's played. Although I love Girls, I did not like Tiny Furniture and I think I've been annoyed that this clumsy, neurotic, self-involved person has had all this success fall into her lap. I'm relieved that (if this article is credible) Dunham is actually quite driven, competent, and pulled-together. Sure, the nepotism/connections, but at least she isn't Manic Pixie Dream Girling her way to the top.

I don't care for Lena. Something about her rubs me the wrong way.
Her connections don't bother me much. I've connected different people and others have done the same for me.Granted I don't have her privilege, but I'm not going to fault her for who her parents are. She didn't have a choice in the matter.
More than anything, I just find her boring.
On another note, is it wrong of me to admit that I "hate read" Jezebel?

I don't even know what the hell I'm looking at because I barely even see the changes. She's still really young so there was no need to remove all the lines in her face like they do to ALL the older gals. And yeah, where's the outrage about that? They took away a slight double chin ... big deal. What do you think I do when I do selfies (yeah, yeah, I take them)? We learn how to turn our heads and bodies just the right way to get the best shots!
Grr, and now something made me feel bad for the gal I don't even care for.

On another note, is it wrong of me to admit that I "hate read" Jezebel? I hate hate read the Daily Fail every morning. It is the most terrible thing ever, but I cannot help myself.

I get most of my cheap thrills spotting the egregious spelling/grammatical errors. It's a complete shit-show run by middle schoolers.

I hate hate read the Daily Fail every morning. It is the most terrible thing ever, but I cannot help myself. I get most of my cheap thrills spotting the egregious spelling/grammatical errors. It's a complete shit-show run by middle schoolers. Usually I try not to go near the Daily Fail, as afterwards I always feel so dirty for reading it. But ha! Yes, not to mention the extremely lousy 'journalism' and very lacklustre fact checking that goes on. Hugh Laurie shares the same sentiment:
