Saw a couple nice things on Twitter this morning about him: From @richardosman: From @emilynemondo: And there's more where that came from. Wayyyy more. To anyone who's upset not just about GM's passing but also 2016 being a dick, the only suggestion I have is to remember that there isn't some comic-book bad guy actually causing all these deaths in 2016 just to enjoy our misery. I realize there may be a few people out there for whom anger helps with the coping, but the rest of us would be better served to consider that there's nothing to be angry at except perhaps "the winds of fate". And if that doesn't work, listen to Too Funky. Because nobody can possibly feel bad after that song.

Forgive me for sounding like a cranky old lady waving her cane at the young 'uns on her lawn, but they just don't make pop stars like this anymore!. We had it good in the 80s. There's a helluva jam session going on in the afterworld right now.

How nice that the stuff coming out about him today is regarding how secretly generous and charitable he was.

I started crying watching Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me. He was a huge part of my 20s. I hope he's finally at peace.

RIP George. This was a real sad loss. His voice will be missed.

Even when I hear the original version my brain inserts the words "Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Elton John!" at just that spot.

Watching Freedom 90..took me back to everything thing I loved about that time!!! At 43 I look back and just think of happy times, and George Michael was part of that. I loved Duran Duran as a kid and would have always chosen them (remember when teen bop wanted u to choose!) . But as a teen I adored George Michael.

Im just afraid that this version of that cartoon is more accurate.Dammit, George. I hope he is at peace. He had some struggles. "Freedom '90" and even original recipe Freedom from his Wham! days make me happy. 2016, can you PLEASE leave us alone?!
