I will be honest, I hate Christmas music with a passion. Last Christmas is the only song not only I tolerate, I love. It truly is a bop.

MrB's work holiday party was held at a bar and grill that has all of these old-school video games. They had old and random Christmas videos playing on the TVs and one was Last Christmas. Apparently the theme was that George and Andrew and a bunch of friends had gone on a ski vacation and George wanted Andrew's girlfriend. I couldn't look away.

Apparently the theme was that George and Andrew and a bunch of friends had gone on a ski vacation and George wanted Andrew's girlfriend. I couldn't look away. Slightly off-topic, but my husband's holiday party was at Dave & Buster's, a similar-type place but with the very latest video games, and a few skee-ball alleys and a vintage Ms. Pac-Man machine for the fogies in the crowd. We were eager to check it out since we hadn't been there in a while, but we were completely overwhelmed by the wall-sized video screens and four-way air hockey battles, and decided to give the kids our D&B gift cards instead. There was a line for the vintage Ms. Pac-Man, btw... More on topic--your story reminded me of the epic night that SweetOblivion and I took dwanollah and her brother to dinner, to OUR vintage arcade game place, and then--oh, joy of joys--to the midnight '80s Dance Party at Alamo Drafthouse, complete with props, great food, and much dancing to some of the best videos early MTV had to offer. Seems like I made a list of the videos that night, but I can't seem to find it...I'm sure there was some GM/Wham! on there, though...

Last Christmas didn't get to Number 1 in the UK for Christmas and it upset me a bit more than it should, it would have been a lovely and poignant tribute to have had Wham! at number 1 on for George's first anniversary I found this photo completion put together over one of my favorites from Make it Big cassette(yes I wore out the cassette, three in fact) Heartbeat I may very having a little cry for George and others no longer here and not just the famous folk either. Also found this George at Concert for Hope 1993 intro by David Bowie ...never forgiving 2016, ever.

I love Wham! and then George Michael in that order. I despise Last Christmas. It is the worst.

I'm conflicted. On the one hand, I want to hear "Last Christmas" just to say "Okay, I've heard it, now leave me alone." On the other hand, I'm playing "Whamageddon" to see how long I can go without hearing it before midnight Christmas Eve, and I have 20 hours left to go.

I still miss this guy, so much. I listen to his greatest hits quite often.
I was never a big Last Christmas fan. I do dearly love George's part in Do They Know it's Christmas (chonies). His voice was so beautiful! I can't believe he (and so many others) left. FU2016.

Its 43 mins into Christmas eve for me, my bah humbuggy grinchy self has left the building and I'm full into christmassy glittery pop stuff and I don't care! I'm in the camp off don't Christmas song me until as close as the day its self then I'm going to annoy myself with the Christmas tunes and anyone else willing to suffer with me.... December Song(I dreamed of Christmas) by George. I think its a sweet sad little tune. Edit. Narm I've added FU2016 to my signature because FU2016! Also his Voice is/was/will always be beautiful The long and winding road is just heartbreakingly perfect to my ears

But I miss George, his duet with Aretha Franklin "I Knew You Were Waiting" is so good!
