Thanks for this! I love this song and didn't know he'd covered it. Merry Christmas to you! You're very welcome. I love the version by Tim Buckley so one day back in 2005 or 06 I was looking for him singing it and ran across George's version and fell in love with it. Unfortunately at the time, the only version I had access to was from concert footage recorded by attendees. I am so happy he finally recorded it. I feel as if the song fits him. Merry Christmas to you as well. |

The announcement of his passing came up in my Facebook memories this morning. I was sad all over again. Thanks for posting that message from his family.

His voice -- that voice was so beautiful. I just hope that he knew, in some moments, how loved and admired he was.

I really hope that too, but suspect that he was just not appreciated enough, since he was "just" a pop star. If he had lived, he possibly could have gone the route of Tony Bennett, and been a representative of his generation and a touchstone between the generations. Heaven Help Me Remember this one? |

I don't have Showtime so I had my dad record the George Michael documentary for me (released a few months ago? I forget exactly when). I was finally able to watch it yesterday, on Christmas. Just so sad. I miss him so much; one of my favorite artists and I still listen to his music all the time.

I watch "Everything She Wants" on youtube every so often and he's so into the delivery. He can't work any harder! That materialistic harpy will never be happy!
Back in 1984 there were probably so many fans wanting to save him from his women problems.
