How can there not be a thread on Steve Carell yet?
God, how I love this guy, and I cannot wait to see The 40-Year-Old Virgin this weekend!
I can't quite put my finger on it, but he's got this certain quality that just kills me. He could sit in front of the camera and read the dictionary, and I'd be howling. It's odd, because he can do pretty much the same kind of things that I find annoying with Jim Carrey or Will Ferrel, but charming with him.
I am so happy his career is heating up, but I will always miss him on The Daily Show, particularly "Even Steph/ven":
"Yes" "No" "Yes!" "No!" "YES!" "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"
<sigh> I love him. </fangirl>

He was the best part of Bruce Almighty, or at least, ran neck-in-neck with Morgan Freeman. Not too shabby.
One of my favorite Even Steph/vens was the Elian Gonzales one, where Carell was adamant that Elian should not go back with his father because all he'll hear is "SUCK IT UP! SUCK IT UP! SUCK IT UP, STEVE! I mean, Elian."

He was a guest on the Daily Show the other night and just to watch him and Jon riff was priceless. What is his wife, Nancy Walls doing these days?

I think he's very funny, and was the best thing in Anchorman (aside from the massive erection), as well as the only good thing about Bruce Almighty.
The way The 40 Year Old Virgin is being marketed, it looks like the movie makers are saying: 40 year old virgin=retarded manchild.
Hope that's not the case. Carell and Judd Apatow are better than that.

I'm sorry I missed it. I always loved him on TDS.
I am interested in seeing this, but I'll probably wait to hear some more reviews. Is it rated R or PG-13?
Has he lost weight in the past couple of years? He never looked fat on TDS, but he always looked sort of beefy and stocky. He looks thinner to me now, and I was wondering if I was the only one who noticed it?

AHHHHAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!! KELLY CLARKSON!!!!
That line from 40 Year Old Virgin makes me laugh every time I hear it, even when I hear it on the radio while driving. Love this man, and can't wait for the new season of The Office. I'm obsessed with the Brit version, but Carell makes the US version awesome.

I read somewhere this week (sorry, can't remember where) that he'd been working out a lot before doing this film. I think it was the director talking about it and saying he was worried about Steve being too buff for the role, but Steve taking the stand that he didn't want the character to have physical shortcomings that would make the virginity more understandable. Or something like that.
In other words, yes, he probably has lost weight and has gotten more in shape.

He looks utterly delicious in the trailer for Virgin, which seals my irrational crush on him. Something about him is just so sexy.
I told this to my one friend and she looked at me in befuddlement for a minute.
