I don't remember thinking it was great. But maybe not appreciably worse than some of the other fake American accents put on by Aussies on TV? (Admittedly, kind of a low bar.)
Her character was weird, with weird roommates/besties, but IIRC, her arc required her to adjust to the demands of a corporate law firm, so she needed to lose just enough of the whims and quirks. But I haven't watched it since it ended; it's possible if I rewatched it now it would seem terrible.

It's funny how there was such an uproar over her age in the press, but I wonder if this would have been an issue for a man?
I don't love all the fat-related jokes and jabs used, either. Sometimes I think she (outside of the Pitch movies) uses her weight as more of a "duh, I'm heavy...and?" but can poke fun at herself at times. At least that's how she was on Super Fun Night and did have a more positive, go-get 'em attitude.
It's not perfect, but I'm hoping that maybe things will improve as more plus-sized women come on the Hollywood scene.

I've never heard of a male actor being called out for lying about his age. This only happens to women, it seems.
It's been a while since I've seen it, but I don't think any of her jokes in Bridesmaids were at the expense of her weight. The comedy came from her being a dumb, nosy, moocher. Her character in Pitch Perfect has "fat" in her name.

Men don't have to lie about their age because it's not age that boxes them into their roles. Once an actor hits their stride, they can keep doing their thing -- be it serious drama or action flick -- from age 25 to 55. Hell, some like Jack Nicholson, Warren Beatty, Harrison Ford, etc. don't even really need to transition their career in their 60s.
Meanwhile, age is super relevant for females. From 15 to 25, you can play teen roles or transition to young-adult parts. Somewhere in your 30s you might peak, followed by the roles slowing down/mom roles. In your 40s you either have a second career boom as the smart/sexy cougar, or you start getting cast as a teenager's mom. Once you're in your 50s your career is either dead, or you're the old lady who mentors the young 20-something. If you're still working in your 60s, you're either playing a senile woman for laughs or someone's naughty granny.

Or, as Goldie Hawn once described roles for actresses: "There's babe, district attorney, and Driving Miss Daisy".

And Maggie Gylenhall was rejected as a love interest for an actor in his fifties because she's 37.

Hell, actresses in their 30's are getting cast as the mother of teenagers.

I've never heard of a male actor being called out for lying about his age. This only happens to women, it seems. In high school, I was a fan of this local band that hit it big and the lead singer's age was originally listed as 27. He'd talked about going to school in the area, so fans eventually looked up his high school yearbook and discovered he had shaved six years off of his real age. The official bio was eventually adjusted accordingly. Music is a field where I can see men thinking they need to appear more youthful, but still, no one really gave a shit at all.

Jeremy Renner's career basically took off at 40, when is the last time that has happened to a woman in Hollywood. It may have, I just can't think of an example off the top of my head.
