I would sure as hell like to know -- or maybe I don't want to know, now that I think about it -- what attraction June held for these men.

I can't believe that this - June's background with child molesters - wasn't discovered earlier, either by the press or the TLC due diligence team.

As for the men and June, she's easy prey. I know a ton of beautiful, smart, fun, successful women with boyfriends that I would call a "loser." I think we've all known women in our lives who seem to make really bad choices in the romance department for the sake of "having a boyfriend" and this is just that to the enth degree.

June seeks out these low-life criminals because no one else will have her. (Sugar Bear seems to be the exception.) For the molester, June's attractiveness has nothing to do with it, it's that she gives him easy access to underage girls including Alanna. That she defends him and calls her own daughter a liar means he's hit pedophile gold.

June had Sugar Bear. He was living with her. He seemed to be really into her and accepting of her other children. But, noooo, that bird in the hand wasn't enough. She had to keep pining away for the molester who was locked up in prison.

Oh, TLC knew, everyone knew about Chubs father practically since the show started, they just didn't care. Whether June convinced TLC that it was all in the past, or TLC looked the other way as long as it stayed buried, is anyone's guess.

Yuck. So my understanding is that they filmed a whole new season of Honey Boo Boo material which has now been scrapped in light of June's current romantic status. Do y'all think they filmed footage of her with Chester the Molester before they did a background check on him? They seem very 'in the know' all of a sudden.

I have to stop following this story. Radar got a hold of the indictment, and it says McDaniel molested Anna and made Lauryn (Pumpkin) watch. He also showed both of them pornography. Lauryn is still denying June and McDaniel have been together since he got out.

I shouldn't have called her dumb. It must have taken layers and layers of denial to cope with something so horrific. So that is at least three children in June's life this monster has victimized and yet she still grins like an idiot while throwing her money at him.

At the end of the day June knows it's wrong.
We don't know her, we can't speak to what is going on with her emotionally or mentally, but we do know she is an adult and that what she is doing is selfish and unsafe for her daughters.

Going by this theory, it's also possible that she has so much internalized anger and bitterness that she gets a bit of a subconscious thrill from knowing that her girls now deal with the same issues she does. To quote a Hole song (sorry!) Someday you will ache like I ache. This sort of thinking happens sometimes with victims of child abuse who have narcissistic tendencies. It's a form of misplaced revenge.
