I think the brother showed up only once before, claiming he was dropping out of school to become a DJ or something. Mindy wasn't having it, to say the least, but they have a cute brother/sister rapport.

Did anyone watch the premiere? I'm already sick of James Franco, but at least his smugness is perfect for his character. I'm guessing he's not going to be around for long because they've already announced that Adam Pally from Happy Endings will be playing the OB/GYN who replaces him after he leaves.
I hate the wig that Mindy is wearing for her short hair. I laughed when the new(ish) nurse in the office said, "I told you we don't want to buy any candy bars, little boy," or whatever. So it provides good comedic material, but I'm ready to covet her pretty long hair again.
I hate to admit this, but I kinda have a crush on Pastor Casey.

I hate to admit this, but I kinda have a crush on Pastor Casey. I can't see him as anyone other than Anders, so all I see is a skeevy jackass. I liked the season opener a lot. Way more than New Girl. |

I had a hard time buying that James Franco was supposed to look like a model. He was pretty when he was young, but he has not aged well, and no longer looks anything like a model.
Mindy Kaling said recently that her character won't be as "unlikeable" as last season. The powers that be - or somebody - didn't like that. I'm a little concerned because I liked the "unlikeable" version. I can relate to someone who likes that her boyfriend cares about Haiti, but really doesn't want to go work there herself. Hopefully they won't go too far in the other direction.

Tonight's episode was awesome! So many good lines. I want to be a part of the Get Over It gang. And Kris Humphries!
Glad to see James Franco go. I've never really gotten his appeal. And I liked Adam Pally on Happy Endings, so I'm optimistic he'll be a good fit.

I also am really confused with the whole "Franco is beautiful" memo everyone seems to have gotten (his brother is much cuter), but I like him when he's actually in a movie. I also think his arc was funny--an hour's worth of him is just about right for me.
