I didn't watch this show when it premiered, but I caught up via On Demand and LOVE IT. I have the biggest girl crush on Mindy Kaling. It has a great cast, too. I saw that it has had a full season ordered but no necessarily been renewed for season 2... hope it sticks around. And I get the feeling that they are pushing Danny as a romantic interest for Mindy, not sure how I feel about that. Usually I like the hate/love dynamic but he has been too much of a jerk to redeem himself, IMO (telling her that she needs to lose weight, isn't competent, etc.). I think she could do MUCH better. The Knicks lawyer seems pretty smarmy, too. I mean, Mindy is a young, pretty, eligible doctor, are we really supposed to believe that she can't find a decent man? I wish that she had netted (ha, pun intended) one of the NBA players, that would have been more interesting to me.

I like it, it's entertaining. Sometimes she's so delusional about random things that it's funny. Her exchanges with Danny on the subway made me laugh.
I don't know how I feel about the new nurse dude addition to the cast, somehow it makes it too much about the hospital cast rather than minority girl navigating singledom in a big city, which I'd prefer (...because I am one).

I love the new male nurse! When he set up a tip jar in the club bathroom? Loved it.
I think it's one of those shows that just needs a few eps to find its feet and will get better and funnier over time.

I like it, but I don't love it. I'm sticking with it for now, but I'm already over the Sam/Diane thing they are trying with Mindy and the cranky doctor.

I like Mindy Kaling and think she's very funny. Her line deliveries work well for comedy.
However, I don't like the male characters on this show.
I'd be reluctant to consider a man who told me to lose weight.
The British doctor is overly smarmy, and I think could only be played by Hugh Grant for me to be amused by him.

I think the new nurse (Morgan?/Random?) is funny in moderation. I liked when they made him part of their "girls' club." I don't want them to focus on him too much, though. I'd rather most of the episodes center on Mindy, I think she's interesting enough. Oh and I was reading an interview with her that said that her mother (who died of cancer recently) was an OB/GYN.
I kept trying to figure out why Shauna was familiar, and finally I had decided that she played Steve's girlfriend on SATC, the one that he was dating when Miranda wanted to get back together w/ him in the last season. She looks and sounds just like her! Then I looked at her IMDB page and she does have a credit for SATC, just not for that role (just an extra). Weird.

The only place I know her from is Gossip Girl, but if you've been on her IMDB page, you've probably ruled that out

Yeah, I don't think it was Gossip Girl. I think she just reminds me of the character from SATC and then by coincidence, she was actually on the show. Anyway I like her character and the other receptionist from the office... can't remember her name. I thought it was kinda weird that Mindy kept letting them call her "Dr. L" when they weren't even at the office. I work in the medical field and in my experience a lot of doctors, especially younger ones fresh out of med school, want their coworkers to call them by their first name when not at work (and sometimes even at work, which I can never do because it just makes me feel weird). It just seemed out of character for Mindy.

I seriously lost it in this week's episode when Mindy's boyfriend put her jeans on (and at Mindy trying to look sexy in his shirt). Danny is still a dick, but I do like the dynamic between him and "Beyonce Pad Thai" a little better now, so I think I'll be more accepting when they inevitably hook up.

The last episode is the only one I've seen and it confused me, the guy that put on her jeans, was he just a one night stand? It seemed like it was the beginning of a relationship, but then the rest of the show they don't mention him and she acts like she needs to meet someone. The show was okay, don't know if I'd bother watching it again.
