Eh. It has its moments but overall it's very generic sit-com to me. I wanted to love it, dammit!

I like the male characters ( I'd love to work with Morgan) , but the ladies? I can't tell you exactly why, but I'm not feeling 'em.

The one male character who is a bit unkind to Mindy's character becausae of some lurking attraction he has to her is kind of growing on me, but I think that's only because I saw him in Argo. In the first episode I hated him.
The female characters are sort of forgettable, I think. I think there is one actress on the show who used to be on Gossip Girl, and she's rather pretty, but that's all I can remember about her.

I didn't think this week's episode was that funny. I did like the beginning where Mindy's boyfriend caught her apartment on fire and then tried to hide behind her. The parts at her friend's (Gwen, I think?) house were just ridiculous. Oh and I thought it was really weird that they expected us to believe that Mindy actually fit into her friend's dress, so much so that for a second I wondered if it was some kind of joke or plot device. I actually think Mindy's body is banging, but she's not skinny by any means and her friend is. They're probably like size 0 and 10. So, uh, no.

Mindy's boyfriend is kind of a cocky douche but there's something I find really sweet about him. Like he's really a nice guy underneath that d-bag shell. Or I could be totally off and he'll wind up cheating on her in the next episode.

I really like this show. It's not perfect, but there's enough funny, refreshing stuff for me to tune in. I love the male nurse (in part because he was good on Eastbound and Down). The other women, not as much, but I'm wiling give it room to grow.

I really like this show. Love the nurse! Some episodes like the Thanksgiving one are little hit and miss but some like the one where Mindy was trying to get Danny to be her gynaecologist had me howling. I think like most new shows it just needs to find its rhythm. I did hear that they are cutting back some of the female characters which is fine with me.

Yesterday's episode was great. "Banksy? That criminal? There's a class about him?" I liked the nerdy intern, I'd like to see more of him. I loved the scene with Mindy handing out condoms to the high school girls. "You look like trouble, you get two...You, I'm not worried about."
Every other character on the show is still weak, except for Dr. Castellano but I think that's just because Chris Messina is such a good actor, not because the character is written so well.

I loved last night's episode too. The way Mindy was acting with the high schoolers perfectly captured how I feel around teenagers. I always think I am still young... until I'm around actual young people. I was rolling when she was trying to sit in the bean bag chair. And can I just say, I covet practically everything Mindy wears!! I loved her green coat, which is actually pretty reasonably priced- $125 from Modcloth.

I've really liked the last few episodes. There haven't been any duds like the Thanksgiving episode lately.
It's hard to keep track of all the changes they are making. Mindy's blonde married friend Gwen has been downgraded to a recurring character instead of a regular character. I got a kick out of how grudgingly Mindy puts up with Gwen's daughter and husband in order to maintain their friendship. And I thought Gwen and her conventional life are a good foil to Mindy, who is a 30-something professional who puts plastic stars on her bedroom ceiling. (Seriously? My older sister made fun of me when I did that in high school.)
Mindy's new best friend is going to be the blonde from last night, who I thought bordered on annoying. The sexy nurse is gone completely, which I'm happy about because I thought she was just a very stereotypical sitcom character. And they are going to bring back the incompetent nurse from the first episode, the one who fantasizes about guarding a sheik's harem. That could be good.
