Anybody seen this?? I'm anxious to (both for the subject and the terrific cast) but haven't had a chance yet . .

It's not here yet, but I'd like to see it. The cast is good. They've got Helen Mirren! I hope Anthony Hopkins shines in this. Anything I've seen him in in the last decade has been kind of dull.
I'm interested in Hitchcock's marriage. I never knew he was married.

Saw it. Helen's good (as always), but I just couldn't get into it. Majorly disappointed.

I have absolutely zero interest in this or 'The Girl' because I think Alfred is WAY too rich and complicated and fucked up to be reduced to a biopic. I had the luxury of taking an INCREDIBLE Hitchcock class in film school and we didn't have time to watch all his films or delve too deep into his psyche over thirteen weeks. I love Dame Helen in pretty much anything, but?
Reducing the most brilliant, fucked-up, brilliant BECAUSE he was fucked up artist/director/etc of film in the 20th century to a two hour movie? Nope.
Besides his marriage and how awesome Alma was? His daughter Patricia Hitchcock (O'Connell) is not really known as part of his biography and she was IN several of his films. Came into aforementioned class and the nicest person around.
I dunno, this seems like a rental to me and not a MUST SEE NOW.

Hunter--
You can skip it. Doesn't really focus on their marriage as much as it does with a writer's interest in Alma and how that made Alfred jealous. I expected so much more.
I wish I could have been apart of your Hitchcock class. Sounds divine.

Also, the concept of Hitch having imagined conversations with Ed Gein sounded so so so dumb to me. Like, I'd rather Ryan Murphy break the 4th wall and appear alongside Bloodyface in AHS: Asylum.
You *can* be a part, kinda, Martini Girl - the professor Drew Casper has done some DVD commentaries and special features for Hitchcock's work, but I can't recall which movies of the top of my head.
