I searched and didn't see a thread for this. I went and saw this one in the theater and really enjoyed it. There is nothing "exciting or special" to attract an audience which is probably why they pushed the release date out into Jan of 2013 away from the Oscars. Despite this, the principles are all excellent in this small tale about residents at a retirement home for performers (Opera, symphony etc) who are trying to put on a show to raise enough money to keep the home open. It is funny, touching and genuine all in one and is a great movie to go see on a quiet evening out. I recommend it highly. Dustin Hoffman directed it and apparently it is his first directorial debut. He did a nice job.

I want to see it. I've always been a huge Maggie Smith fan and I fondly remember Pauline Collins from Upstairs Downstairs.
